General description

  • Main home
My home is a 3 bed, 2 bath single story model, perfect for a single person or couple looking to sit an "easy" home with low maintenance. My home was completely remodeled/ rebuilt in 2019 so there are no quirks to be concerned about. I have a small front and backyard with the backyard having a fence.

Needs and Animals

  • My pets
  • A dog
I have a 1 year old standard size poodle. He has taken multiple training classes that he has passed with flying colors.

As a house/ pet sitter, my expectations are that my poodle, Theodore, will be cared for. He enjoys walks in the park, fetch, and other physical activities. He likes adults and is possibly too friendly with dogs. I've consistently been told he is well-behaved and has a great friendly (joyful) personality by his daycare facility.

As Theo is trained with certain words and hand gestures, I will leave all information regarding keywords and gestures for any sitter as I understand how important that information can be.

Activities in Richmond are pretty vast.

If a city's food scene is important to you, Richmond will def satisfy you. As a person who has traveled to multiple countries, and lived abroad I was really surprised and happy with Richmond's food scene. Award winning shops to get beautiful breads and pastries, hunky burgers and chicken sandwiches, and fine dining are all available in Richmond.

The Virginia Museum of Fine Art is an exceptional museum that is a bit of crown jewel in this mid-size city. It is large and has taken me multiple trips to actually complete. Best yet, it's FREE! Of course there are other museums to check out including the Contemporary Museum, Gallery 5, and a few others. Because Richmond is home to VCU, liberal arts support is incredibly strong in this mid-size city.

the RIVER:
Richmond, VA is built on the James River as such there are multiple areas to sit by the river on any given day and enjoy the scenery. I'll be sure to provide a map of popular spots for any sitter.

Richmond, VA has great trails and hikes available to anyone who would like to enjoy them. The Cap Trail is a 40+ mile trail that cuts through the city. It's a great way to learn the geography of Richmond. Further, because of where Richmond is located you will be less than two hours from the Shenandoah National Park.

Richmond is also located less than 2 hrs from award winning wineries. I'll be sure to provide a map of popular spots for any sitter.
