You might have heard of Hangzhou because G20 was held here in 2016, when world leaders attended. Or perhaps because Alibaba is headquartered here. But more likely because it’s the number one Chinese tourist destination in China for its famous West Lake (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Hangzhou is the capital of Zhejiang province and was once China’s capital city in the Southern Song dynasty in 1132. It’s one of the most important cities in Chinese history for the grand canal which connects directly to Beijing in ancient times, and now as the top online retail and social media technology hub in China.
Needs and Animals
- My pets
- A dog
About Gabby: 3 months ago we adopted (rescued) her from a young couple working 996 in IT; they just couldn’t take care of her anymore. We never owned a pet before, and I begged and pestered Lan for about 3 years to have a dog. I brought her home one Saturday afternoon just to “see”, and Gabby never left. We are still new to all this, but love Gabby with all our hearts. Gabby is very smart, but a bit scared of everything. She spent her first 3 months on the balcony, alone, all day. She is much better now, but is still afraid of kids, dogs, cats, scooters, car rides (she gets car sick) and baths. But now mostly baths. She is very playful and loving.
