I have two lovely dogs who are a Lagotto-Griffon mix. They are five years old. They love walking amongst the vines. I also have three cats. One stays outside a lot. The other two are mainly house cats. I would like the house sitter to look after my animals, walk the dogs at least twice a day, water my plants, and keep the house tidy during your stay.

My house is in Mirabelle Aux Baronnies, a very pretty village on the Rhone wine route through the region. Surrounded by truffle woods, vineyards, olive groves and lavender fields - a little slice of paradise with a balcony overlooking a truffle wood.

There are hiking trails from the village into the countryside, and there are wine domains within a short distance. A car is best for this location to get to the nearby towns including Nyons and Vaison La Romaine have have a market on Thursday and Tuesday.

Mirabelle Aux Baronnies is a lovely historic Provencal village . There is a nice cafe/restaurant, bar, bakery, post office, local small super market and there are regular food trucks. The area is popular with cycling and hiking. We are located between the town of Nyons and Vaison La Romaine. Other towns with 1.5 hours include Orange, Avignon, Gap and Valence.

As this is Provence you are surrounded by vineyards and wine producers...visit them and do a wine tasting. There are local tours of the area also to see the landscape of olive groves and lavender fields. The town of Nyons is 8km away...this is a pretty town with a market on Thursdays...lovely old square with restaurants and shops.

From the start there was very good communication so we could go into the pet sit informed and as prepared as possible. Sian was accomodating of our dates and to therefore get thorough handover of the house and the pets. She also introduced to her friends and acquiantainces for back up in case it was needed. We loved being with Benji, Teddy, Morgan, Meg and dear old Molly as much as having the opportunity to housesit in the lovelyapartment and the village. We would love to go back!
