The apartment opens to a big flowery garden, a little paradise for us and the cats.
Before moving in, we completely renovated the apartment. It consists of a spacious bedroom with an home-office corner, a spacious bath, and a 40-m2 kitchen/living room area with a winter garden. Two glass doors open to our garden with a terrace in front of the kitchen.
We prefer a “naturally growing” garden to a meticulously trimmed one. However, it will need regular watering and a bit of loving care by a “green thumb”.
The forest is only a five-minute walk away, and so is the tram station. A direct tram takes less than 20 minutes to the heart of the city with its Rhine waterfront, Frank Gehry buildings and beer pubs.
It takes a mere 30 mins by bike to go to lake “Unterbacher See” with its two beaches.
Duesseldorf with its beautiful waterfront along the river Rhine is considered to be one of the most attractive places to live in Germany. The town is more intimate and less posh than Munich but has a similarly rich cultural life. Duesseldorf train station, DUS airport and Duesseldorf-Weeze airport (Ryanair) offer direct connections to every major German/European city. Regional public transport is a quick and reliable means of discovering the sights of the region.
