My apartment is a furnished studio apartment with a kitchen and bathroom. It's small by western standards, but large for a studio in Hong Kong. The second best thing is that it's only 50m from the North Point subway station that connects Hong Kong island to Kowloon and the New Territories. Northpoint is a great old neighborhood that's very residential and very convenient. The best thing about the apartment is my dog Tempo. He's a rescue and a mix and very friendly with strangers, the elderly, children, and anyone (except other dogs). He really is very little trouble, doesn't bark, doesn't eat the furniture, but he does need to be walked every day and have his bowl filled every few days. I'd love if someone would like to stay here for these few weeks, but it'd also be great if someone just wants to drop in once or twice a day to walk him and remind him what a good boy he is :)
Needs and Animals
- My pets
- A dog
I either take the dog for a short walk in morning and evening (long enough for a quick pee and poop) or for a longer walk in the evening. More often these days I take him for a long walk in the evening since it helps me relax and he seems to like getting worn out. There's a dog park just about 5 minutes from my home, but he's still nervous around other dogs and usually has to stay on the leash. There's some really great hikes starting from my neighborhood and you can easily take him for a 4 hour hike if that's what you like.
- Less than 50 m² (530 sq. ft.)
- No land/balcony
- Metro/tram station
- Bus stop
- Railway station
Apartment entrance is on a pedestrian street with loads of good shops. Lots of food nearby. About an hour from the airport. This is a great place to explore Hong Kong since it's got subway (MTR) access, the tram (ding ding), and has bus lines to everywhere. North Point is very urban, but is mostly residential buildings, rather than commercial or industrial.
Comfort and Luxury
This is a pretty simple studio apartment. It's not tiny (i.e. there's some space to move around) but it's best for people who want to get out during the days and explore. I have a big TV with lots of movies, so it's also a good place to veg out or get some work done.
Tourism and Leisure
I'm just two blocks away from the famous Victoria Harbor. I don't have a view of it, but I take the dog there every night and it's a great spot to sit and relax (see the photos). The pier in particular is my favorite spot to sit with friends and some snacks and drinks.
