I live in a very modern apartment on the fifth floor in a secure building. It has huge window fronts and hence is very bright. We have all the modern appliances, hot water 24 hours, a bath tub (luxury in Peru), an elevator and live right across from a big market where you can buy everythign fresh every day.
Needs and Animals
- My pets
- 2 cats
I have two cuddely cats which loves to be around people. They stay inside so basically just need to be fed twice a day and ideally played and cuddled with a bit during the day. My cats are fed raw meat, I would prefer someone to keep doing that, but will be willing to switch to canned food if cat sitter has issues with preparing a raw meat diet.
- 50 - 150 m² (530 - 1590 sq. ft.)
- Less than 20 m² (210 sq. ft.)
- Bus stop
We live a little bit outside the historic center of Cusco, a middle class residencial area. The police station is right next door, so it is also very safe. Everything you need is at 5 minutes walking distance. A huge market with fresh produce right across the street, supermarket, pharmacies, bakery etc. The historic centre can easily be reached by bus in 10 minutes. The airport is only a15 min drive away. A modern shopping mall, hospitals etc. are a 10 minute bus ride away. The apartment is huge and comfortable with pretty much everything you need.
Comfort and Luxury
Peru is still a third world country, so what we consider luxury here is a bit different than in the US or Europe. Our apartment has a bath tub, a movable heater, an elevator, hot water 24 hours. We have good internet to watch movies online. We have some books here and some Peru travel guides to help you find things to see and do.
Tourism and Leisure
Cusco is the Inka capital of the world. It has so many sites close by, it would be too much to mention them all. Obviously Machu Picchu can be visited in a day trip. The colonial town of Cusco itself is the most beautiful city in South America. The surrounding mountains are a hikers paradise. The Sacred Valley of the Inkas is one hour drive away and offers lots of archeological sites, hiking trails etc.
