We live off grid, in a converted bus,in the national park on the west coast of the Algarve, 2km to the nearest beach and 3km to the town of Vila do Bispo. Living off grid means without mains water, sewage or electricity. We have a solar system for basic day to day use,a dry compost toilet and we collect our water from a nearby village in a 1000 litre water tank.

The main priority is to take care of my cat, after that there is a little bit of watering of pots and the veggie garden to do.

Our land is set in the National Park, 30 minutes walk to the unspoilt beach of Barriga,the bus is set in a forest of Accacia and other trees. The town of Vila do Bispo is 3 km away with a daily market, supermarket, bars, restaurants, pharmacy, bank and health centre. It is an ideal location for those who love peace and quiet, with stunning cliff top walks, cycle routes and surfing all close by.
