General description

  • Main home
House is a large terraced in the centre of Brecon. It is an old house with lots of character. This is in the heart of the Brecon Beacons which is great for walkers. The rivers and canal are within walking distance. The house has good internet and a garden where you can sit in (if dry and sunny). There is one small dog and 3 cats that need looking after whilst we are away.

Needs and Animals

  • My pets
  • A dog
  • 3 cats
I need someone who will be there. No other animal can stay with mine and i only want a single person so no couples or families. I don't mind if you are out and about in the day but in the past I have had people pop in and out to mind the pets but our dog is getting older and misses company so someone popping in and out to feed or do brief walks is no longer useful. I would expect the dog to be walked daily and also just to be in the house at night. The benefits are that you can enjoy staying in this beautiful area which is within the Brecon Beacons National Park.

Brecon is on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Brecon itself has sufficient shops and a couple of large supermarkets including Morrisons, Aldi and the Co-op. There is a small cinema and also a theatre. There are markets held at various times in the month e.g. Farmers market, Antiques market etc. There are three rivers that run through the town and there is also a beautiful canal. There are lots of local routes for those who love mountain biking and it is a haven for walkers.

Comfort and Luxury

  • 3 floors
  • 2 rooms of which 4 bedrooms
  • Traditional
The house is old but clean - so the bathroom has a shower over the bath but it is old fashioned. However everything works. The kitchen has a microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. The kitchen is modern. The house is quirky and is a listed building and was built in 1802 and is Georgian.

The Brecon Beacons has the second highest mountain in Wales - Pen-y-Fan. It is also not far from the Waterfall region in South Wales. You can access Cardiff by public transport (bus only) or it takes about an hour to drive to either Cardiff or Hereford. Brecon has lovely countryside and is ideal for walkers or lovers of the countryside.
