Early 19th Century Vermont farmhouse extensively renovated. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, 28 acres of land. Very comfortable and cozy. Quiet setting, scenic backroads, walking trails, and 2 miles away from the Corinth General Store, 15 minutes by car from the bigger town of Bradford for supermarket, banking, veterinarian, restaurants, hardware store. 40 minutes by car to Hanover/Norwich and 45 minutes by car to Barre/Berlin/Montpelier complex.

Needs and Animals

  • My pets
  • A dog
My dog Manou is a 2 years old female German Shepherd, very friendly and has tons of energy. She typically wakes up with the sun and has breakfast. Then early in the morning we take a walk leash free in the woods for about an hour. Then she settles down until lunch time. Later in the afternoon we walk again, this time on a leash on the dirt road. She eats around 7pm and settles for the night. She loves to play catch, and tug of war. She is restricted to the entryway, kitchen, hallway and one bedroom. She sheds a lot.

The house is in the country but there are neighbors in the area which is typical of villages in rural Vermont. In the summer, there are multiple attractions nearby such as festivals, fairs, amusement parks, all within an hour drive. You can hike the Green or the White Mountains, close by lakes and the Connecticut River to kayak or canoe. In early October the landscape is spectacular. In the winter the snow cover allows for cross country skiing or snowshoeing right out of the door. Downhill ski slopes abound in the region. There are beautiful views of the White Mountains at the top of the hill. The house itself is large but easy to maintain, no outside work to be done. Best for single, or a travelling couple without small children.
