This was my first petsitting opportunity. I was unsure how it would go but this was better than I expected. Marianne was thorough in explaining what was required. The dog is a sweetheart. I was asked to come again next year and am seriously considering it. Wonderful experience.

I had a wonderful two-week stay taking care of Honey, the sweetest dog I’ve ever met. Marianne was incredibly welcoming and friendly. She took the time to show me around the village and introduced me to her neighbors and friends, making sure I had a support network in case of any emergencies. Her instructions for Honey’s care were clear and detailed, and she was always available to answer any questions, maintaining great communication throughout my stay. When she returned, she kindly took me out for a lovely dinner and even brought back some chocolates from her trip. I would absolutely recommend housesitting for Marianne and caring for Honey!

It was the perfect housesitting! Marianne greeted me very warmly, invited me to a local restaurant for dinner, showed me the village, area and she introduced me to her neighbors. Marianne is very nice and wise woman with good energy. I had two lovely dogs to care for: Bobby - older, wise and easy going, Honey, who was young and always full of energy, and a sweet cat Sasha. They were wonderful companions for me in everyday walks. The house is located in a beautiful part of Portugal, Almocageme is a unique village with very nice and helpful people. The beautiful mountains and beach are just a short walk away. There are some very good local restaurants, cafes, shops and the local market. Throughout the sit, communication with Marianne was always easy, fast and efficient. I felt completely welcome and recommend this Sit highly and would love to come back in the future. All in all, a fantastic housesitting experience! Thank you so much Marianne, Bobby, Honey, Sasha! I will miss you!

Marianne was an excellent communicator and host both leading up to and during the sit. She took her time to show us and explain everything we needed to know and to introduce us to her neighbours and the local life. Marianne even provided a lovely hand-drawn map of the area with special notes on where places were tricky to take the dogs. Marianne was extremely welcoming and made us feel at home immediately. We absolutely loved looking after Lucky, Bobby and Sasha - it was a great experience for us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had plenty of time to explore the beautiful area.
