Hi there! We're a conscientious and low-key couple who spent over a decade in Oakland, California (USA) before moving to Hillsborough, North Carolina (USA) to be closer to family during COVID.

Over a decade ago, a friend of ours named Danielle stayed with us for two weeks and set an amazingly high bar for conduct as a house guest. She watered our plants, washed our dishes, and left our home cleaner than she found it. Since then, we've committed to living up to that 'Danielle' standard when we stay with others.
We've owned several fur babies (dogs, cats, and rabbits) over the years and are experienced in dog sitting, cat sitting, and rabbit sitting for friends and family. After our rabbit, Nibbler, passed away last year, we decided to take a break from having pets of our own so we won't be bringing pets with us when we house sit for you. We're also experienced plant parents both inside and outside of the home.

Tara and Zac were great house sitters. Tara was my main contact and she was always very clear and communicative in writing. Once I confirmed the housesit, she booked flights the very next day, giving me confidence that she was committed. During my time away, she kept in occasional touch with updates, a few pictures and a few questions, but I traveled completely without worry. On my scheduled day of return, she texted me a detailed check-out list, and I arrived home late at night to a clean house and happy cats. I have been home for a week now, and my cats are still happy and exhibiting completely normal behavior, which lets me know that they were treated well and kindly. I would recommend Tara and Zac without reservation and I would be happy to host them again.
