I'm a mature and responsible professional lady looking for the opportunity to housesit in Italy or France. I am a house owner myself
and understand the importance of trust and responsibility when engaging a sitter - I have used house sitters myself when away.
I'm fit and healthy and not afraid of a challenge - although I'm not looking for very hard physical labour!
After a career as a journalist and newspaper editor I've discovered the joy of (long term) travel! I lost both of my sweet Italian greyhounds in a short space of time, along with my lovely cat, so rather than mope around I decided to rent my house and discover the wider world, outside Australia. I've always been a traveller, up until Covid I was living in Italy and travelling around the UK and Europe. I've had the opportunity to help a local lady with her dog and cat rescue service, fostering and caring for some lost little souls. I've done house sitting many times and it has given me a wonderful opportunity to meet some lovely people and, of course, their pets.
I have two adult daughters who are very supportive of my adventuring so I'm a free agent and can travel when and where the opportunity arises.
I've been home in Australia for a while since Covid clipped my wings, and I now have 2 sweet cats that will be looked after by a housesitting friend while I'm away. So you could say I'm experienced in both sides of housesitting!
On this trip my sister will be accompanying me, she's a very kind person with a great love of animals.
