We have a cat called Jeffrey who is a lively 12 year old. He has a specific routine, but is easy as he is very predictable. He loves company, human and dog, but not cat. Neighbours all receive regular visits as he patrols his village and plays with their dogs. Home is paramount, and he will indicate when he wants to go out, and make himself visible when he wants to come in, knows he is not allowed on the furniture unless it is on one of his own blankets, and he needs company. He will always arrive to greet your car, which is a nice welcome home.
He is not greedy and not allowed human's food.

In the foothills of the Pyrenees, in the very centre of a rural village, a renovated barn which usually operates as a gîte, with a comfortable apartment on the upper floor, and an extra reception room on the ground floor. The accommodation is 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and large sunny living and sitting room, all well appointed. Your own open garage and a garden with multiple seating areas, umbrellas etc and 2 bikes. Shopping; a very good Carrefour Express within 3km, a nice little town buzzing on 2 market days at 4km, and Spain an hour away for shopping and tapas. The mountains are the backdrop and easily accessible for hiking and viewing the stunning scenery. The ski station of le Mourtis is 45min from home. 2 mountain bikes are available.

The village lies on the approach to the mountains amidst rivers and countryside; a perfect place to chill in a natural environment with clean air and tranquillity. The birds are twittering as Spring approaches. Hikers and cyclists love it. An easy day trip to St Bertrand, Luchon, Pau and St Girons. One hour 25 SW of Toulouse and east of Lourdes. It is central to both the Mediterranean and the Atlantic.

A perfect stay! Julia's gite is very beautiful and in a wonderful location. Spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and spacious...... and dear Jeffrey! We totally fell in love with him and missed him as soon as we left. He is very easy to be with, independent but also loves company and his routine. Julia is lovely (as are her friends that we met) and we had good communication throughout the time/period. We highly recommend!
