We have a dog and a cat. Our dog is a rough collie who needs a morning and evening walk and spends the rest of the day relaxing outside or in his dog bed. Our cat uses a cat door and does her business outdoors, so there is no litter box to manage. Both animals are fed twice a day.

We also have an 8 m × 4 m swimming pool that requires light maintenance three times per week during the summer (adding chemicals, skimming the surface, brushing the sides, and emptying the skimmer baskets). We will provide a simple cheat sheet with clear, step-by-step instructions. The lawn should be mowed once during your stay (about 15–20 minutes). Please check the mailbox periodically.

To make your stay as easy and stress-free as possible, we use the Nomador Home Book, which offers a clear and complete guide to the house and our pets’ routines. We also use the simple written agreement recommended by Nomador to confirm arrival and departure dates and to outline general responsibilities. We live in a recently remodeled bastide-style house in the village Eguilles. The house is a 10-minute walk to the village (where there are conveniences: weekly market, butcher, bakery, cafes, etc.), and it is a 15-minute drive to central Aix-en-Provence. We have a large fully-fenced yard with a swimming pool. The atmosphere of the neighborhood is very calm and quiet.

Our house is ideally situated for exploring the region - in addition to being very close to Aix-en-Provence; it is within an hour's drive to the Mediterranean Coast, Marseilles, the Luberon region, Avignon and many vineyards, for example.

Caitlin m'a très bien accueillie et m'a expliquée le fonctionnement de la maison. Baylet est un chien qui aime les humains et qui les taquine à sa manière. Clochette est câline et toute mignonne. Les propriétaires ont des demandes précises qui se concrétisent par des instructions et contrat ce qui m'a perturbée. Je n'ai pas été à l'aise car il n'y a pas eu concertation. Ils se référent à la documentation de Nomador sans adapter à la personne qu'ils reçoivent. Oui le logement est gracieux mais s'occuper d'une maison et d'animaux sont une charge importante. Il m'a manquée la générosité. J'ai beaucoup apprécié aller randonner vers la Sainte Victoire.

We had a great time housesitting for David and Caitlin, but the real highlights were Bailey and Clochette. Bailey is a beautiful Rough Collie—smart, sweet, and a bit cheeky. He’ll quickly become your buddy, especially if you have treats in your pocket. He’s clever too, often pausing on walks to see if a snack might be involved before carrying on! Clochette is independent but super friendly. She’ll chat with you as she comes and goes throughout the day, and she’s happiest with a full food bowl, a cozy lap, and a few strokes before heading back outside. As an outdoor adventurer, she might even leave you a “gift” from her nighttime explorations. The house is really comfortable and modern, with a gorgeous pool and a great outdoor area to relax in. It’s just a short walk into the village, where you’ll find a bakery, a café or two, a small shop, and a little weekly market. We really enjoyed our stay with Bailey and Clochette and would absolutely recommend this sit if you get the chance!
