We’re looking for a caring, responsible house-sitter for our two lovely pets in Madrid: Wes, our podenco (Spanish dog breed), and Zazu, our cat.

The most important thing for us is finding someone kind, attentive, and comfortable with animals and their routines. Wes is a sweet, sensitive podenco who loves walks, being close to people, and sleeping in bed with you. Zazu is an affectionate but opinionated cat who likes attention, company, and a clean litter box.

We’d love someone who enjoys spending time with animals, respects their rhythms, and will make them feel calm and cared for while we’re away. Since Wes is walked off lead at certain times and can be sensitive, we’d especially appreciate someone confident with dogs and happy to follow his routine closely.

Wes is fed twice a day and normally has three walks plus a final quick pee at night. He has a sensitive stomach, so it’s important to stick to his food routine and keep an eye on how he’s feeling. He’s very loving and easy at home, but benefits from someone calm and confident outdoors.

Both animals are really wonderful and full of personality. Overall, we’re looking for someone who will enjoy being with them, keep the flat tidy, and give us peace of mind knowing they’re in loving hands.

Our home is in a great spot in Madrid: right in front of Madrid Río, perfect for lovely puppy walks, and just a 15-minute walk from Casa de Campo, largest park in a city in the world!. We’re also only a 5-minute bus ride from Plaza Mayor, so it’s very easy to enjoy the city center while staying in a quieter, greener area.

The flat is clean, well cared for, and has a lovely terrace that makes it feel extra special. The community also has a small gym and a pool in the summer, which is a nice bonus. There are supermarkets, bars, and everything else you might need nearby, so it’s a very comfortable and convenient place to stay.

Our home is in a really lovely part of Madrid, with a great mix of nature and city life. We’re right in front of Madrid Río, a huge green area along the Manzanares that’s perfect for walks, bike rides, and relaxing by the river, and just a 15-minute walk from Casa de Campo, Madrid’s largest public park and one of the city’s best spots for being outdoors.

It’s also very easy to enjoy the historic center from here. Plaza Mayor is just a short bus ride away, and from there you’re close to some of Madrid’s best-known sights, including the Royal Palace and Almudena Cathedral.

For someone staying here, it’s a great base to enjoy both local life and the city’s main attractions: morning walks by the river, time in the park, terrace moments at home, and easy access to central Madrid for sightseeing, food, and wandering around.

Wes and Zazu are both very friendly and gentle creatures, and Aida and Katie were very helpful and communicative, the location by Madrid rio is central and convenient. Highly recommended stay!
