The dogs would need to be walked twice a day for about 30 minutes outings. Deedee, our "desert mix', a rescue from Dubai, is nervous around other dogs so will need to stay on the leash. Tess is a rescue from Istanbul and is very easy around other dogs but you will need to keep your food out of reach as she is a bit of a thief! The cats just need to have their litter box changed if we are away for more than 5 days, and a steady supply of water and food. They are indoor cats so it is important to keep all windows in their reach closed.

The dogs can be left alone during the day between walks, though obviously they prefer the company of humans.

Hello! Our family will be going for a short holiday in France to see our family and we are looking for some lovely people to look after our home with its precious cargo. You would need to be here early on the 23rd July, or arrive in the evening of the 22nd July so that we have time to explain everything& get to know each other. We will be driving back from France late on the 5th August, so ideally you should be able to stay until the morning of the 6th. Looking forward to meeting you and welcoming you to our home!

We live in a village in beautiful Sussex, at the foot of the South Downs, 10 minutes away by train to the vibrant city of Brighton &Hove. The area is very beautiful, and has some lovely pubs, as well as beautiful villages in the surrounding area to visit. Our home is a semi detached four bedroom house with 4 double beds, and a garden with a lovely shepherds hut&magnolia tree. We have two medium sized mixed breed old girls of 11 who are very friendly and calm, Dee Dee and Tess, and two indoor boys that are cuddly and sweet tempered, Kopa and Miles. There is 1 space to park in front of the house, and the train station, with frequent direct trains to London, is just 2 minutes walk away. The village has three small supermarkets; Sussex Grocers (ex Budgens), Morrisons and Sainsbury's. The is also a Waitrose, a big Tesco and a Lidl in Burgess Hill, just 8 minutes away by car or train. There are three pubs in the village, as well as cafes/restaurants to choose from. The neighbouring villages of Hurstpierpoint and Ditchling also have love cafes and pubs to enjoy. Tourisme et loisirs

The South Downs are full of beautiful trails for hikers to enjoy at every season that can be reached directly from our village. Beautiful rolling hills, great vistas, sea air, and quaint English villages is the best way to describe it.

The city of Brighton and Hove is only 9 miles away and offers access to beaches, cliff side walks, cinemas, comedy shows, cafes, museums, universities etc. Brighton and Hove is often called London-by-the-Sea as it is a small town that doesn't feel like it is limited in what there is to do- or how people think!

London is only a little more than an hour away by train and it is completely realistic to envisage going to London for a musical, or a stroll in the west end as the trains run until midnight.

Taking care of Deedee, Tess, Kopa, and Miles was an incredible experience. Meeting Chloe, Hakan, and their 2 daughters made it even more special. They are such a lovely family—kind, warm, and incredibly welcoming. We felt at home from the very first minute. They welcomed us with open arms and made everything feel easy and comfortable. Spending time with their two dogs and two cats was an absolute joy, each of them having such a unique personality. We truly hope to have another opportunity to share a meal together and see you again, and, of course, to cuddle the fluffy ones.

Chloe, Hakan, and girls made me feel very welcome in their home and communication was excellent prior to and during the stay. The dogs Tess and Deedee were real sweethearts and the cats, Kopa and Miles were funny and affectionate. Deedee has some anxiety issues around dogs (besides Tess) but Hakan trained me well on how to manage the situation while on walks. I would highly recommend them for future sitters! Hassocks is a cute little village and the train station and shops and restaurants were within easy walking distance. Thank you for trusting me with your furry family members!
