Jada is a nine year old fiercely independent food loving kitty. She enjoys going in and out during the day - always expecting a treat when she comes in. She is trained to come to a whistle as well. She spends significant time sleeping. It is her favorite thing next to eating. She enjoys loving on her terms and likes to sleep with a human at night. She is altogether an easy cat to care for.

We live in an area with many wild animals - foxes and (probably) coyotes so she must be in before dark and not let out until after dawn. If you won't be home, she should be kept in the house.

Précisions sur les dates

We are in the final stages of planning this trip and flights are not yet booked. If all goes well however we will be visiting Turkey during this time. You will be expected to care for Jada while we are gone - which is not too demanding (as explained). Other than that, your time is your own. You are welcome to use our home as if it is yours, and we expect to find it the way we leave it. No other guests, no smoking in the house, and no parties allowed.

Logement

We live in the suburbs of Washington DC. Our home is about 10 minutes drive to the metro that can take you a variety of places including downtown to the museums and exploring the monuments. Our neighborhood has large lots and our home backs up to a preservation area with a very pleasant walking path right from the back yard. The home is in good shape overall but there are a few areas that we are in the process of repairing - mainly the back deck - however it is perfectly usable.

We live outside the city of Washington DC. We are in driving range of many interesting historical and natural places to explore. If you like the city and fine dining, you can take the metro down for an evening on the town. If you like history there are civil war battlefields like Gettysburg and Harper's Ferry within an hour drive. If you like hiking there are many parks and trails to explore. You will need to rent a car to enjoy all this area has to offer.
