We’re looking for a committed, puppy‑experienced sitter for 5 days.
We have two beloved pets: Ziggy, our gentle Maine Coon, and Alfie, our 4‑month‑old Cocker Spaniel puppy. Alfie is sweet, social, and still very much a energetic toddler — he needs attention, structure, and someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with a puppy.
What Alfie needs:
• He cannot be left alone for more than 2 hours, so this sit is ideal for someone happy to be mostly home.
• Two short walks a day in the neighbourhood.
• Lots of companionship, play, and patience. He thrives with humans who understand the work and joy of puppies.
About the home:
We live in an old, character-filled “grande dame” with a large garden and a beautiful deck — perfect if you enjoy staying close to home.
If you love animals, have real experience with puppies, and enjoy being a calm, steady presence for a little dog who adores humans, this sit will suit you.

Alfie is a Cocker Spaniel puppy, so his ears need gentle cleaning every few days, and because our property isn’t fully fenced, he must always be supervised outside (we do have an enclosed area he can use safely).

We would need to meet the pet sitter in advance to show the house and give instructions, etc. The pet sitter could arrive on Sunday evening, 26th and stay over, and we will leave on Monday morning. Or arrive monday morning, and we leave after. We will make our spare room available for the petsitter which has a double bed

Beautiful big old home with big trees, a garden, and beautiful views. Comfortable small bedrooms, but a lovely living space upstairs for you to enjoy and a small garage
We are on the outskirts of Lausanne. it is quiet and peaceful and vineyards in front of us but you can access the bus at 200m or train at 700m (bit of a steeper walk).

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Yael dans sa jolie maison confortable avec une vue à couper le souffle. Yael nous a donné des consignes claires et faciles à mettre en œuvre pour prendre soin de Ziggy « Le magnifique ! ». C’est un gros chat adorable ! Ce fut très agréable de lui faire des papouilles. Yael and her family were friendly, welcoming, and easy to communicate with throughout, which made the sit straightforward and relaxed. Ziggy is a lovely, chatty young cat, affectionate, playful, and easy to care for. He settled into a routine quickly and was great company. The house has a beautiful view and was a pleasant place to stay. Overall, we enjoyed the sit and would happily look after Ziggy again. We’d recommend the family to other sitters.
