We have a Ragdoll-like cat (somewhere between a Ragdoll and Siberian). He has a water fountain and a bowl of food, both enough for 5 days so that rarely needs attention. We are expecting you to give some company to Dante, open the windows, balcony door as he enjoys that very much. Usually he sleeps through the day, so if you can spend 30m in the morning and 30m before sleep to interact with him that’s more than enough :)

We leave on the 21st early morning and arrive back on the 30th around noon. You’re welcome to arrive a day early if that helps and you don’t mind sleeping on an inflatable mattress in the other bedroom for that one night.

Newly built, two bedroom apartment. One bedroom has a premium mattress the other is empty with an optional inflatable one in case you arrive a day early or leave a day later. Happy to show it around before you purchase your plane tickets! Very nice, seaside apartment with a lot of green area around. The city center (Princess street) is about 30m away.
Fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine, couch. Standard stuff is there but we moved here a few weeks ago so it’s not a fully furnished apartment yet.

We require to see some proof of the purchase plane tickets before we can finalize on your stay. You don’t need to purchase it instantly but within a week of us agreeing would be great :)

Tourisme et loisirs

City centre is about 30m from here by a bus which stops at the corner. The sea is about 2m walk away. Morrisons 15m, Lidl 20m walk away (or 10 and 15 if you walk as fast as I do :D)
Around this area it’s worth walking an hour by the sea then walking to Cramond Island when the tide is down. From there going along River Almond and stopping at Cramond Falls is suggested.
I don’t think I need to add anything about Edinburgh attractions around the city centre.

I had an incredible time sitting for Adam and Niki in Edinburgh! My best friend and I arrived a day early, and we were welcomed so warmly. We shared a lovely dinner with Adam and Niki, with great conversations and lots of laughter. They are truly incredible people! Dante was such an easygoing and lovely cat to look after. He definitely had a mind of his own and such a chill personality, so we got along really well! The apartment was right by the seaside, and we could reach the ocean within minutes. We were lucky enough to experience some beautiful sunrises and sunsets during our stay, which made it even more special. Even though the apartment isn't directly in the city centre, it was easy to get there by bus, and the bus stops were just a short walk away. Communication with Adam was always smooth, and he was very easy to reach whenever we needed anything. Overall, the whole stay was absolutely wonderful, and we had the best time! Thank you again for having us! We'd be very happy to come back anytime ☺️

Our stay to take care of Dante was top. Dante is quite territorial at the beginning, very independent and nearly maintenance free. The apartment is around 30 mn by bus to Edinburgh downtown. There are many different lines of buses. The apartment is great, new, clear, quiet, with great views over the Firth of Forth and it's a pleasure every night to come back there and meet Dante. There is a nice coastal park behind the building and if you're into running they have a parkrun there every Saturday morning. All in all a great experience, we loved Edinburgh, it's really a unique city with a great personnality.

Adam is one of those people you simply feel grateful to have crossed paths with. Everything about the experience was light, easy, and filled with trust from the very beginning. He welcomed us with openness, gave us clear and thoughtful instructions, and entrusted us with both his beautiful home and his wonderful cat. Dante is truly a little soul of his own - quite a character, calm, effortlessly charming. Taking care of him was no problem. The apartment itself carries such a beautiful energy; clean, harmonious, and thoughtfully maintained. We are deeply thankful for the trust, the warmth, and the opportunity to be part of this experience.
