Greetings from Reykjavík
I need sitters between November 15 and December 20 and February 10 and February 20.
I moved here from Toronto in 1999.
Not suitable for more than one person.
First, this is an unusual house sit as I rent rooms to two young men. One is a Canadian chef and the other is Spanish and works at a warehouse. Both are very pleasant, totally quiet, clean and respectful. I use the living room as my private bed/sitting room. This room will be for the use of the sitter only and can be locked from the inside.
I own this ground floor apartment in downtown Reykjavik. Two other apartments are in the house, owned by pleasant, quiet people.
My reason for wanting house sitters is because of my lovely cat, Máni (Moon). He is 16 and has access to my room and the garden with cat flaps. I like having other people because the tenants often work late and in case they decide to travel. As long as one tenant is in town the house sitter is free to travel outside Reykjavik.
House plants need to be watered.

Máni needs to be brushed at least once a day, preferably outside. …

Máni needs to be brushed at least once a day, preferably outside. He has kidney problems and he has to be fed small quantities at any one time. He has an account with his vet and I would be billed for any necessary care.

Three-story house, built in 1929. I own the ground floor, garden apartment. This is an embassy neighbourhood. The Chinese ambassador lives in the house beside us and the Spanish ambassador in the house behind the garden. All amenities within walking distance.

Day tours are available from Reykjavík to famous attractions. The charming northern town Akureyri is a 6 hour bus ride or half hour flight away.

Kristófer's place is very comfortable and perfectly located in the center of Reykjaví. Kristófer is very helpful and offered plenty of recommendations on what to do. Máni is a really sweet cat and very easy to look after. I highly recommend!
