Morgan is a 6-year-old brown Labrador – calm, loyal and easy-going. Dixon is a 6-month-old black Labrador puppy – playful, curious and full of energy. Both are friendly, love walks in the snow and enjoy company.

No special diet or medication. Two meals a day with dry food. Dixon is still a puppy, so he needs extra play, attention and short training. Both are used to living on a farm.

We are looking for a calm, independent sitter or couple to stay through November (approx. 1 month, some flexibility). Your daily tasks: feed and walk Morgan and Dixon, take a short walk around the property to check all is in order (doors, heat, storm damage), and keep the studio tidy. You look after your own meals. Photographers and writers very welcome – long dark nights, aurora, and total peace. Getting here: Fly to Keflavík (KEF), then either take a domestic flight from Reykjavík to Akureyri (approx. 45 min), or make your own way north by bus or rental car (approx. 6 hours). Direct option: easyJet flies straight to Akureyri from London Gatwick and Manchester in winter. From Akureyri we are about 44 km away, and we can help plan the last part of the trip.

A private studio on our historic family estate in North Iceland. The hotel is closed for the season, so the whole place is quiet and yours to enjoy. Access to our own sauna and natural hot spring – perfect after a cold day or under the northern lights. Wi-Fi and a car are provided.

We are in the peaceful Reykjadalur valley, next to the small village of Laugar with a swimming pool and shop. Dark skies make it one of the best places in Iceland to see the northern lights.
