Poo pick thoroughly in sleeping quarters, (they bury it) and fluff up bedding, adding more to make it nice and thick. During the day they must have supervised* out in the garden time, around 9pm shut them back into the larger pen* then lock the cube* once its very dusk and they are all in for the night. Poo pick the run, bring out the 2 water pots, tip away and clean ready for morning. 2 fresh water every morning, shake food pot down and refill as required. Treats fruit vegetables chopped
*We have foxes and pine martens in the area, the hens' security and safety are paramount
If you leave the house for any reason, shopping and sightseeing maybe, then the girls must be locked in their large pen before you leave.

Please water the new trees and the small shrubs at night.

Top up the swimming pool for the water lost during the time we are away (put hose in!)

Précisions sur les dates

we have the dates fixed and ferries booked. It would be nice however if you could arrive on saturday 30th June mid afternoon/early evening so that we can meet and you can get to know the place and the routine to follow. (we leave sunday morning.) We have family arriving very late on the 10th so you can leave when its convenient to you

We are in a quiet hamlet of 100 people scattered around the forest. All commerces are 8km, you will need your own transport. There is full central heating (we need someone in January) this is determined by outside temp sensors. (There is also a stove and bottle gas fire ) France has strict rules - no noise before 8am nor after 7pm. and between 12noon and 2pm and zero noise on Sundays. Tranquility is the by word here unless the farmers are busy planting! Foxes and pine martens are a constant daily threat to my girls, hence the supervision! Wild deer and boar , pheasants, red kite, owls, buzzards in summer preying mantis , lizards crickets toads bats.

Bauge has a small chateau and an apothacary dating back to the 1600's. City of Angers 40 mins drive . Le Mans and the motor museum under 1hr drive. Cointreau factory visit perhaps.
Eleanor Of Aquitaine is buried at Fontevraud Abbey, with Husband Henry 2nd of England. Ce séjour de 8 jours a vraiment été très agréable . Clive et Jan sont vraiment un couple charmant , très accueillant . La garde de leurs filles ( leurs poules anglaises ) a été une expérience facile et enrichissante . Elles sont bien éduquées et dociles . Ce fut un plaisir de passer la semaine près d'elles . Nous recommandons vivement Clive et Jan aux futurs home-sitters .
