The pets and farmyard animals need fresh water every day and need to be feed. The Estrela Mountain Dog need to be taken for a walk once a day. The small dogs, Cavalier King Charles and the smallest one, are living inside, and they follows you in the garden. You need to let difs out first thing in the morning for doings. Two goats may be stubborn and they live in a fence. Hens and peacocks do not need much care unless the peacocks do have little ones.

We need house-sitting from 19.-28.8. at minimum. It is fine if you may arrive couple of days before we leave, so that the Mountain Dog gets to know you.

Logement

Our house is an old farmhouse in country side with big garden and trees and some berry bushes. We have cats and dogs, peacocks and hens, a goat and a horsie. The farm locates ten kilometres from the borough of Kuhmoinen, and the nearest cities are Tampere, Lahti and Jyväskylä. They locate one hour drive away. Internatiol flights arrive to Tampere-Pirkkala Airport (90 km) and Helsinki Airport (180 km). Our place is ideal for relaxation, country walks and cycling, canoeing, picking up mushrooms and wild berries or fish angling. In the borough you can try jet-skiing, frisbeegolf or minigolf for example. Distance to Isojärvi National Park 25 km.

We have piano for use.

The farm is relaxing, although road to Tampere City goes beside the house. It is ten minutes to village by car, half an hour by cycle. In the village there is two supermarkets and bars open daily and the best marina in the lake Päijänne, which is the second biggest lake in Finland. There is a restaurant in the marina. The house is easy to look after.

Thank you Mariella, Pertti and Melisa for being so special and wonderful and having offered us to enjoy your little paradise. We enjoyed a lot this peaceful place surrounded by a fantastic nature, walking with the dogs or swimming in the nearby lake, enjoying the sun, perfect water temperature and the marvelous silent. We left a lot of friends, starting with Birtu, a beauty of Portuguese Estrela Montain dog who is in charge to protect the paradise, he loves walking and showed us the best trails – mostly to the water which he loves; Dacapo the other dog is the darling of the house , in case of any doubts he is the one to ask; El Sheik (for his friends just Sheiky) the century horse, once a big star now this gentleman of horse just enjoys his autumn of life; Nils , the naughty and friendly goat and his follower Huittinen; Diego a beauty of peacock and his clan, the different chicken families which provided us with fresh 100%% nature eggs and the cats which were a bit shy . We enjoyed a lot taking care of our new friends and observing them. We learnt a lot and had a lot of fun !
