I would like someone who likes cats. One of my cats loves people and spends any spare moment on a lap. One is more independant and loves to be outside, but they are both long haired and need brushing every day. They are fed once in the morning and once early evening.The sitter needs to be here at those times.I also have three hens that simply need feeding and water checks.Its important to be someone who enjoys the countryside, and walking or just chilling. There is a bakers in the village but no shops. The nearest shop is a 10 minute drive away.

My house is totally unique. It is a 12th century converted chapel. It sits on the edge of a small wood above the village of Touffailles. It has a terrace with fantastic views. The house is cosy and yet cool in the heat because the stone walls are so thick. It has two bedrooms, one with an en suite and a seperate bathroom. The photos explain it better. My home is best described as a little different. It will suit someone who loves the countryside. I live in an area of "outstanding natural beauty" so there are birds and flowers and peace. This space is a retreat and yet overlooks the village so does not feel isolated and cut off. The pathway to it is from a little car park and is quite steep, see photos. The village has a baker. I have a small studio behind the house where I make art and practice yoga. There are stunning walks from the door here. I am about 10 minutes in a car from the nearest small town with supermarket and pharmacie, doctor etc. Previous house sitters have had a car or have hitch hiked to the local town. There is a …

There is a market every Saturday morning in Montaigu de Quercy ( the local town) There are 2 swimming lakes which are not far away by car.

The local markets and cafes are a source of inspiration. The lakes are perfect for cooling off at the end of the day. The people here are friendly and there is a lot to see and do. If you are creative its a fantastic opportunity.
