We have two much-loved, very spoilt cats, Skye and Stevie. Skye is a lovely, gentle five year old tabby. She can be a little shy but she loves to have her head and cheeks stroked once she gets to know you. She will ask to have the taps turned on at every opportunity, as she likes to drink from them. Stevie is a cheeky, lively pale ginger and white boy. He's just one year old and gets into a lot of bother. He's confident and friendly, and loves attention. Stevie is a wee character! Both cats are very independent. They come and go as they like through their cat flap, so just need food, water and cuddles.
In the garden there are five chickens (also spoilt!). They need let out of the coop early in the morning and locked in at dusk. Also clean the coop daily and ensure they have food and water. There are a few house plants to water.
If you enjoy being a slave to pampered, demanding animals, and eating fresh eggs every morning, this is the house-sit for you!
There are pots to water in the garden and the greenhouse.

Our house is a Victorian cottage with a big garden. We live in a small village in rural Perthshire within easy reach of Perth, Edinburgh, Dundee and St Andrews. You can enjoy the beautiful surrounding countryside in summer or snuggle up with a glass of wine by the stove in winter.

Our home is peaceful and comfortable. It's a wildlife lovers paradise. We have plenty of books of all kinds to keep you occupied, and a good Internet connection.

Our little village is quiet and peaceful, and we have a lovely neighbours.
There's no public transport and no shop so a car or bike is necessary. However the village has a pub that serves great food. The nearest small supermarket is two and a half miles away. There are bigger shops in Blairgowrie, eight miles away.

Tourisme et loisirs

Perthshire is one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland. Our home is perfectly placed for hillwalkers, cyclists and canoeists. There are ample outdoor sports facilities on our doorstep. We're close to the popular tourist towns of Dunkeld (Loch of the Lowes wildlife reserve) and Pitlochry (Festival Theatre). You can reach Edinburgh in just over one hour driving.

It was great to meet Maggie and Mike. We had a very nice time in their house. They showed and explained everything to us, so we felt at home right away. They also provided us with Scottish specialities and lots of ideas for excursions. The house is very pleasant and we really enjoyed spending time there and in the garden, watching the birds and the squirrel. We also enjoyed the fresh eggs for breakfast. The pub in the village is great. The neighbours are lovely. We can only recommend a stay there.

We had an enjoyable stay at Maggie and Mike's lovely home. The house was very comfortable and well maintained and we enjoyed cooking in their well equipped kitchen. They provided us with all the information we needed to be able to take advantage of the activities and tourist attractions in the area. The village was small but it was close to many historic towns and palaces, numerous great golf courses including St Andrew's and had an excellent pub. Their cat Sapphire was a delight - an affectionate and energetic elderly cat. Thanks Maggie and Mike. Dave and Susan

Maggie and Mike were kind and considerate. They made a delicious soup for us to enjoy when they left and supplies for breakfast. Sapphire was easy to look after and seemed to enjoy our company.
