Besoin et animaux

We are looking for someone kind to care for 2 labrador dogs, 2 cats, (one disabled but easy), an
angora goat and a few chickens. The dogs need to be walked for about an hour in the morning and then again for 20 mins in the evening. They are fed in the morning and can be left alone in the day but not for too long. The cats, chickens and goat are very easy, open in the morning, feed and quick clean takes about 10 mins.. We have a car that can be used.
My son who is a student in Toulouse is home a couple of times a week but he is self sufficient and a really nice person and would be able to step in on Sundays and maybe one other day in the week..

Logement

Renovated stone farmhouse in small rural hamlet Ikms from shops, post office and boulangerie. Gas central heating and woodburner, wifi and netflix. Large open plan living dining, modern kitchen, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Nestled in the vineyards with lots of walks nearby. Situated 15 mins from the two large towns of Ceret and Thuir which have supermarkets, shops and weekly markets.and 25 mins from Perpignan.

We have interactive tv, internet and Netflix, dvd's and bose wifi speaker for music.

It is peaceful although we have good neighbours close by. The community is based around wine growing and hunting and the village is very active with cultural events and music throughout the year. It is rural but very beautiful with lots of walks from the house in the vineyards. There are lots of markets nearby the closest 15 mins away at Thuir and in Ceret and we are 30 mins from the med coast and superb beaches.

Sunny and temperate all year, the Pyrénées-Orientales, offers those who love nature and culture an infinite variety of things to see and do. The Mediterranean coast lined with sandy beaches and beautiful fortified villages have inspired many artists. The mountain peak of Canigou dominates the landscape and offers skiing and walking in the cerdagne;. Close to the border with Spain the area is strongly Catalan which has influenced the culture and gastronomy. Wine is made throughout the region and there is a great selection of bio produced wines and fresh foods.

We loved our stay at Jacqui and Ali’s house, a very modern renovation of an ancient farm. Dogs , cats, goat and hens were very easy to take care of. Plenty of tracks to hike around for everyone’s happiness . And the view of the Canigou with snow on top... a must ! Charlotte & Jeff
