The dogs are all rescue animals, loveable and fun. Great watch dogs although we live on a dead end road and very safe.
We have a host of wild birds and feeders that attract a host of hummingbirds, Tucans and many migratory birds, as well as a local wild animal, an Olingo that visits regularly to eat bananas..

Pica Flora, little flower describes our Bali style home in the middle of a forested area in the mountains of Costa Rica. Our home is open on all sides with glass showing the beautiful tropical plantings. birds and natural earth.
The home is one mile from Atenas, a small village that offers most all needs, listed as the worlds best climate by NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC. The San Jose airport is 30 minutes away.

Our home is unique and offers a view of the mountains and valley. The climate on the equator remains the same year around temperatues with rain in the morning and sun in the afternoon about 6 months a year.

A large weekly farmers market of locally grown vegetable and fruit, cheese, bread, meat etc
is open each Friday. There are a variety of good local restaurants at reasonable prices.
Atenas is a charming village and has maintained a Tico

We had a wonderful time here in Costa Rica. The house and view was amazing. The dogs were great and we loved it. Great location, great people and pets. They even gave us a ride to and from the airport.

This was my first experience with the Normador and it couldn't have been better. Myrna and Jim were excellent, attentive to me. They left everything organized so my stay was quiet and calm. And the dogs are so lovely I was completely in love after few hours. Thank you Myrna and Jim for this incredible experience.

James and Myrna were amazing hosts, we felt really welcomed and their house is just sublime. The views from the different balconies are gorgeous and we saw so many animals. Their four rescue dogs are so lovely, they are really cuddly and are fully enjoying their rescued doggy life. The garden is perfect with so many flowers that attracts butterflies and humming birds. It is a true paradise. We totally recommend this sit, James and Myrna are really nice people and always ready to help and answered any of our questions :)
