My main concern is that the dog should be looked after. He is used to moving around independently and is generally with me. I have no doubt that he will keep you company too and you can take him with you when you go for a walk. He eats three times a day and will tell you very clearly when he is hungry. The donkeys are roaming free on the hill. They are easily located by GPS and you can go and check them with the dog from time to time. At the very least you can call the GPS and it will tell you where they are. They are very easy to handle and you are welcome to go trekking with them

This is a large country house located in the extraordinarily beautiful Izki natural Park. I need someone to look after the place and particularly the animals. There is a small very friendly dog called Tximis and three donkeys. The donkeys don't really need much looking after but I need someone here in the unlikely event that anything should happen to them. There are enough paths through the forest to keep you busy for a life time and both the donkeys and the dog are very good company. This house is very old and romantic and the location is extraordinary. However, it is also very basic. The heating is by wood stove. It is perhaps best described as a five star mountain refuge. It is not a five star hotel. It would be ideal for someone who wants to get away from it all for a while and enjoy being in a natural environment. There is a mountain bike in good repair. There is no internet or television although you can get internet in the bars in Maestu. I can introduce you to the neighbours and they will be happy to help you out …

The house is located in Leorza with a population of 13. However there are numerous neighboring villages and a thriving community. The nearest village is Maestu where you will find two bar restaurants and a small shop. There is a very good ecological baker in Azazeta and a supermarket 17km away in Kanpezu. For bigger shopping the nearest town is Vitoria (25km) where you can find anything you need. There is a bus service to Kanpezu and Vitoria

Phil is friendly, open-minded and used to be with people. He has too many stories to tell about ! The dog, Tximis, is very nice and independent. Sally, Matheu, Momo and Django are 4 lovely donkeys. We appreciated too much to go hiking with them. The house is old, big, basic and disconnected (no wifi, no TV) but with lot of charm. We were hot in the kitchen and the bedroom thanks to the wood stove, even if outside was very cold (0ºC). The village is charming and well located to go hiking to interessant places (small beach, natural swimming pools, mountains...) or biking. The area is adapted for people who want to be quiet and enjoy the nature ! Thank you Phil !
