We have an 8-year-old medium-sized poodle, Rusty.
Can lie down calmly but also needs love and attention
Loves playing with his ball
A true “lap dog” who enjoys lying close to his owner — even on the bed.
Does not need long walks, but goes outside briefly 3 times a day
Not very social with other dogs (he tends to be scared), so dog parks are not recommended
Very sweet with children, but he is rather "present" and attention-seeking.
Travels well by car.

We live in a rather quiet street in a suburb 10km south of Antwerp. The building counts only 4 appartements. My brother lives next door to us. We have a small garden that requires very little maintenance (mainly wooden terrace). There is also an outside jacuzzi and a houselift that connects the living area with the groundfloor and garden. We have a parking spot at our front door and a garage to store a bicycle if needed. Nearby we have shops, public transport and parks. It's a safe and quiet environment.

I don't even know where to start 🥰 My one month stay with Rusty in Antwerp was amazing on every level. Rusty is the sweetest boy ever... I have been pet-sitting for more than one year now and this was in my experience, the most fun, interesting and 'warm' dog-sitting 🩷 Besides Rusty, I also feel blessed to have met Beatrice and Serge. They are one of the nicest, friendliest (and funniest 😄) people I have met in my life and I felt sorry I couldn't stay a bit longer. Also the neighbours are very nice and they make you feel welcome in the neighbourhood. The apartment is next to trees, so you have a view on nature and it keeps the environment cooler than the heart of the city. Meanwhile, you can take a bus super close to the apartment, to the center. Or a 15 minute bike ride 🥰 I also enjoyed the jacuzzi on hot days 😇 I would love to pet-sit with this family again and it's my number one recommendation 🩷🩷🩷🩷
