We have 2 cats and an African Gray parrot, who all need feeding and lots of company.
They cats are very affectionate and like lots of attention, someone to play with and laps to sit and sleep on.
They have a cat flap, so can come and go as they please, but they prefer a bed to sleep on at night.
They need feeding morning and evening and also have biscuits available all the time.
The parrot needs letting out of his cage in the mornings. He sits on top all day and sometimes flies around the room a bit. We keep all the windows and doors shut, but you’ll probably want to do that anyway in the summer to keep the heat out. He needs his seeds topping up in the evenings. He also loves company and gets bored if left on his own all day.

We plan to leave early on Tuesday 6th August, so would like you to come at least one day early, preferably 2 days early, in order for the cats to get used to you. We will be back in the evening of Saturday 10th and you are welcome to stay an extra night and spend Sunday with us if that suits you best.

Our cosy family house is nestled amongst the trees at the edge of the village. You can walk straight from the garden into the woods, or just relax on the covered terrace and admire the mountain view. The house has all mod cons, with a large open plan kitchen dinner and large living room. There’s a ground floor guest room, with an en-suite shower. The house keeps cool, even in the summer months. This area is very quiet and secluded and this cat and parrot sitting job would suit someone who wants a great place to chill out, unwind, relax, soak up the surroundings and do a little bit of site seeing in the nearby towns and villages. We have Wi-Fi and Netflix. Espoey is a small, quiet village right next to the town of Soumoulou, which has 2 supermarkets, pharmacy, bars etc. We are equidistant to Pau, Tarbes and Lourdes, which are each 20 minutes away by car. This is the gateway to the pyrenees, which dominate the landscape. There are lots of local walks, bike routes and lakes to Visit. The Espoey bakery and cafe is a 5 minute drive, or 30 minute walk away and the huge Meridian shopping mall at Ibos, with …

Pau has a lovely city centre with lots of bars and restaurants along the Boulevard des Pyrenees.
You can visit the castle, or walk along the river and there are various local events throughout the summer.
You can be up in the mountains within 40 minutes by car, or stay local and visit some wineries.

Un super séjour. Fred & Jo sont adorables. Un accueil chaleureux comme ci on se connaissait déjà. Leurs chats sont câlins, joueurs... Un vrai plaisir à garder et à chouchouter. La région est superbe, beaucoup de randos, de lacs... Je souhaite à tous de faire la rencontre de cette belle famille.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Fred & Joanna. Nous sommes arrivés 2 jours avant leur départ pour avoir le temps de faire connaissance et qu'ils nous expliquent ce que nous devions faire. Ils sont très accueillants, chaleureux et sympathiques, la maison et le jardin sont très agréables pour profiter du calme. Les chats (Mia et Locki) sont adorables.
