Pebbles has been with us for over a year now after finding us in the woods. We feel she needs company to feel this is still her forever home to stay. She loves to play daily, and it's a delight to do this with her, she will make you laugh. During the summer she is happy to sleep under the veranda and has access to the house via a cat door. We have been helping her adjust to not catching the birds, but she will bring you the odd mouse as a gift. She is very settled, but she is vocal, so always announces her entry.
The local bird life also needs feeding daily, and the red squirrels weekly.

La Pierre Plantee is nestled in oak woods with bird life and tranquility, on a walking route, with no passing traffic. 7km from the main towns of Souillac and Martel. Loads of attractions and activities to do and visit in the local area. The house is fully equipped with use of TV, english and french. There is central heating for winter months. Because of our isolated location personal motorised transport is absolutely necessary to be able to get to local amenities and appreciate what the area has to offer. We are in the Dordogne Valley area, so hills are always part of a journey. There is no regular local transport near to the house. We are looking for a couple or 2 friends only, as our nearest neighbor is 500m away, and we would feel more comfortable with that, as we know how isolated it is here, also Pebs responds better with two people, and she has lots of energy. We like the sitters to arrive the day before we leave, so we can show them the workings of the house, introduce them to Pebs, and meet up, which is included in the required dates. This is a house to relax in. With the use of the garden hammocks, the swimming pool, and the veranda. Very quiet, and a good place to observe and listen to wildlife.

Tranquil, isolated, at the end of an unmade road, no passing traffic, no street lights. Only walkers passing occasionally. walking routes from house into woodland. Small community in Bazalgues of french people and farmers. Beautiful countryside.

Gerry et Steve nous ont bien accueilli avec un bon repas et surtout très attentif au bien-être des home-sitters. Nous avons également apprécier la compagnie de Pebs qui nous a enchanté de sa présence. Maison très agréable et bien situé pour visiter la région et les alentours. Excellent séjour où nous avons été extrêmement bien accueillis par Gerry et Steve. Echanges très agréables. La maison est très chaleureuse, facile à vivre et si calme. Pebs est adorable, gentille et câline. Nous avons passés de très bons moments à jouer avec elle. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir.
