We have two adorable cats. They are a bit skittish, but super sweet when they warm up to you. They are indoor/outdoor and have their own door so they can go in and out as they please. They do their business in the garden, so there isn't any kitty litter cleanup needed. We would need someone to feed them twice a day, give them clean water and love. We like to have someone in the house with them to keep them company. Additionally, we would need someone to put out the garbage bins Tuesday night for pickup and possibly water some plants.

2-bedroom, 2-bathroom midcentury modern home with a study, lots of light and a magical garden. The home has lots of charm. It's pre-renovation so it has some of the original 1950s features, but is a little rough around the edges in places. There are outdoor sitting areas and an outdoor ping pong table. We love it! :) We have book shelves full of interesting books, an outdoor ping pong table, outdoor sitting areas in our garden, and raised vegetable garden boxes Our home is a mid-century modern Eichler. We love the large windows facing the backyard and the melding of the indoors and outdoors. We think it's very comfortable and cozy. We are located in a busy town in the heart of the Silicon Valley, but our neighborhood is quiet aside from the occasional happy noise of the train passing by. The neighbors are friendly and we have a magical garden with humming birds, bees and small lizards. The kitchen has the original 1950s counter and cupboards, which is fun, but the appliances are modern. We cook a lot, so we have a fully equipped kitchen. We have two teenaged kids, so the house is family friendly with an outdoor ping pong …

There is so much to discover in this area. We are in the heart of the Silicon Valley in close proximity to Stanford University (5 min by car), San Francisco (40 min by car), San Jose (20 min), gorgeous beaches in Half Moon Bay (35 min), redwood forests, hiking, museums, shopping -- you won't be bored!

I had a good week staying at Tracy and Iddo's home, it's very neat and tidy. An Eichler House, modeled after Lloyd, full of light and surrounded by greenery. Tracy's home is close to everything, about a 10' drive or 20' bike ride to convenience restaurant and even Stanford. The two cats Naya and Loki are easy to care for, fed twice a day. Some houseplants are scattered throughout and watered as needed. It's a Very calm quiet neighborhood. The house has more ecological appliances around the home unique to California, like high efficiency heat pumps and tankless water heater, which is interesting to learn about. And they were changing the tankless sensor so we had a couple of days of unpredictable water heating. I think the problem will be fixed, I do recommend pet sitting for her home. She stayed in touch and communicated to help along as needed. We felt very welcomed.
