We would need you to take care of our five year old cat Gandhi, she is a Thai mixed breed and possibly the most cuddly and loving cat you have ever met, when she wants to be :) she has recently lost her brother and lifelong companion and is in need of all the love and care she can get as she is quite lonely now and used to a lot of attention. We would prefer if you spent a lot of time at home as she is used to us being around and didn't leave her alone over nigh,t but occasional day trips are fine. She is quite low maintenance but likes all the attention and love she can get.

Our dates are still a little flexible since we haven't booked a flight yet, however it will definitely be around that time since we're going to a wedding in Germany at the beginning on June and we are planning to go for three or four weeks.

A big old but beautiful wooden house on stilts, very basic but comfortable. Open air flow throughout, a fully equipped kitchen, hot water, two king-sized bedrooms with memory foam topper, great wifi, big beautiful natural garden, in a very quite and remote area, two hours north of Chiang Mai, Thailand. Our home is very simple and basic, it is like stepping back in time. The biggest luxury is the surrounding nature and nearby hot springs. Our home offers a great balance between a cosy indoor living space and a very private outdoor area like the garden, balcony and dining area to enjoy the beautiful weather. Phrao is a small farming community nestled in a beautiful valley surrounded by mountains. Our house is at the north end if the valley by the side of the mountains and the area is very quiet and remote. There is a hilltribe village nearby and smaller villages with local markets and fresh produce all around. The nearest town is around 15mins drive away with plenty of markets, a few supermarkets, as well as lots of restaurants and other food options. Life here is very simple, slow and relaxing, and there is always the feeling of adventure living slightly …

There is no tourism here in Phrao, which is part of it's charm. You can go hiking, explore nearby uncrowded waterfalls, hot springs, beautiful drives and day trips into the mountains, and dive into the local culture. Or simply enjoy the peace and quiet and take a break from all the noise and business of everyday life.
