Berlin

Absolutely charming, very open and quite laid-back (a rarity in this neck of the woods!) couple. Would entirely recommend a housesit for them without any reservations. Tastefully decorated flat smack dab in the middle of Friedrichshain, but set back from the main thoroughfare, so not ridiculously noisy. Neighbors were very discreet and friendly. We had a lovely little sojourn at this home and, should you decide to housesit for them yourself, you shall certainly, too.

Frederik, Nike and their children are absolute angels, they have welcomed us warmly on our first night and we spent a wonderful dinner all together. Zisou is one of the best natured cats that we have had the pleasure of looking after. She's very calm and loving, always up for cuddles and love (especially brushing sessions... :P) we will miss her a LOT. Their home has a subtle and beautiful energy, the kitchen is wonderful and it is very well equipped. The location is ideal for discovering Berlin and surprisingly peaceful and quiet even though right in the center. Everything we needed was in walking distance. We stayed in great communication during our stay and felt reassured and guided all along. 10/10 housesit, it was a very enriching experience and we'd be glad to help Frederik and Nike again if they needed house sitters. :) All our love, Noemie and James

Josh and I had such a wonderful time caring for the gorgeous Zisou while Nike and her family went on holiday! I had the pleasure of meeting Nike and the kids for dinner before they left and felt so welcomed and at home. We had great communication the whole time and Nike was always quick to respond to my questions (and cute pics of Zisou). The apartment is such a special place, beautifully decorated and part of a really close and friendly community. It's full of light and flourishing plants, and the perfect calm oasis to come home to after a busy day in bustling Berlin. It's a good base for cycling and public transport, and close to countless great restaurants, cafés and markets. Zisou is the most hilarious, fluffy and delightful cat and I miss her so much already. She's really easy to care for and makes a very entertaining companion - I've never met a cat that loves belly rubs as much as she does. I couldn't imagine a better experience in Berlin and hope we get to meet again soon!
