It's about taking care of my cat Jacky and feeding her, giving some cookies in the evening and cuddles as desired because she is not always in the mood:-) that's how cats are. And as there are some pigeons and other birds stopping by in the garden for drinking water, fresh water should be provided daily in the garden and also for Jacky.
The garden is not very big but there are some plants and trees and they also should be watered every 2nd day, depending on the weather. The place should be cleaned every now and leaves removed. Also the street along the ground should be cleaned if necessary.

The house I have rented is a simple house with a small garden and a "arisha" which is cozy and shady sitting area in the garden. The house is located in a quiet area and is surrounded by many other houses and many trees. To the sea it's just 10 minutes by foot as well as to shops and restaurants. The house is in the typical simple local style and equipped with all necessary things but it has surely not a super luxury standard. Due to the weather most of the life takes place outside and if not in the garden then in one of the many places where you can sit by the sea. Restaurants which offer a variety of food are reachable in 10 minutes by foot; also shops and markets which offer fruits and vegetables. A 10 minutes walk away is the Red Sea (Gulf of Aqaba) and after a 15-20 minutes walk you reach the famous laguna of Dahab. Restaurants and Cafes with live music in the evening can be reached by foot also in about 15 minutes. Right on the coast of the Gulf of Aqaba there are underwater beauties to discover such as coral reefs, colorful fish and also water turtles. Diving hotspots are the Blue hole, 3 Pools or Gabr el Bint. If you would like to go on excursions in the desert or mountains, you can go on impressive safaris by jeep or camel from Dahab and visit the White Canyon, Coloured Canyon, Mushroom Rock and plenty beautiful other spots. Dahab has something to offer for every taste, whether it's kitesurfing, snorkeling, diving, climbing or just enjoying peace, beach and nature and maybe taking a yoga class – there is something for every taste.

I like to mention that staying in Egypt is safe and also Dahab is a safe place. No matter which kind of political situation occurred - during over 10 years I am living here I never have experienced any insecure feeling.

As usual the stay was great. This one was my second one. And I forgot to write a review. So just check my first review. As a proof that I love the place: we are end of August 2025 and I am here in Dahab with Jacky for the fourth time!

I am very happy that I met Karin here, and spent 2.5 months in Egypt! Initially, the listing was for 1.5 months, however, Karin asked me to stay longer and I was happy to do so :) Jacky is a very pleasant cat. She gave me a belly massage each day). The house has a green garden and an outside covered area for sitting.
