LEGOLAS (aka "Legs", Siberian Husky):
Age: 8 years old.
Temperament: Trained for simple commands and very friendly, loves naps.
Feeding and Care: Legs is fed and walked in the morning and evening.
Daily Life: He roams the apartment freely while we are there. We close the bedroom door when we are out of the apartment, where the bunny lives.

PEPINO (Short-Hair Rabbit):
Age: 10 years old
Temperament: Somewhat wild (rescue rabbit), mostly wants to be left alone to sleep.
Feeding and Care: Pepino is fed vegetables (lettuce, carrots) in the morning, pellets at night, and hay throughout the day.
Daily Life: She lives in a pen enclosure in the bedroom. We typically do not have sitters let her out as she will chew on things. We keep the bedroom door closed if we are not at home, for her safety.

OUR NEIGHBORHOOD:
Lakeshore East sits at the junction of Lake Michigan and the Chicago River, and surrounds a beautiful park (called Lakeshore East Park). Just south is Millenium Park and “The Bean” sculpture, whereas North is the riverwalk and into Streeterville. West continues into downtown. There are bus lines and subway lines not far away, and the riverwalk and lakeshore trail are just a few minutes walk.

Logement

A 1-bedroom apartment with panoramic windows and views of the lake and park below. We are located on the 22nd floor of a 50-story elevator building. Our windows are mostly sound-proof so you will not hear much traffic, but we are downtown so sirens may pass by to the nearby hospital etc.

Fast WiFi, TV with Roku/Netflix, and central air conditioning/heat controlled by temperature panels.

Washer/dryer in-unit is available for use.

Downstairs is the bustling city of Chicago, with several bus lines and a few “L” subway lines to choose from. A bike & ebike station is also just across the street, a kayak rental place is just a few minutes down the riverwalk, and there is plenty more within walking distance!

Les échanges avec Risa avant mon départ ont toujours été clairs, efficaces et chaleureux. Le home- book fournissait toutes les instructions nécessaires pour Pépino et Legolas, l'appartement et les déplacements. Et sur place Risa et Daniel m'ont confié les clés et le soin de petite Pépino avec toute leur confiance. Des relations reposant sur la confiance et la responsabilité de chacun ne pouvaient que me plaire : j'apprécie cette forme d' intelligence partagée . Bien que craintive, j'ai réussi à m'approcher de Pépino avec affection et douceur : j'ai appris avec elle de nouveaux modes d'échanges avec les animaux. J'ai juste croisé Légolas qui partait en vacances avec ses maîtres : il m'est apparu comme un chien débordant de tendresse. Merci donc à Risa , Daniel et Pépino pour ces expériences multiples. Et quelques mots sur l'appartement qui bénéficie d'un emplacement central à Manhattan avec 4 lignes de métro et 2 de bus. New york est donc à votre portée pour vous enrichir. Ce pet-sitting fut donc un vraie chance pour moi.....

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour chez Risa et Daniel avec Legolas et Pepino qui sont adorables. L 'appartement est confortable avec une superbe vue. Dommage qu 'on ai pas pu se voir avant notre départ car Daniel est rentré malade.

Délicieux séjour chez Riza et Daniel en compagnie de Leg et Pépino.Dépaysement complet dans leur appartement New-Yorkais, juché au-dessus de l'Hudson, avec le pont de Washington en arrière plan.Et en 1er plan la vue sur la cité. Chambre très confortable. Lieu bien situé pas loin de parcs et des transports en commun. Et de commerces et restaurants. Accès facile des aéroports par le métro. Bref un superbe séjour New-Yorkais. Et Leg et Pépino sont juste adorables, comme Riza et Daniel.
