I have a 4-year-old tuxedo cat named Kongi, and a 3-year-old maltese dog named Cookie.

I'd like a pet sitter who gives the pets food and fresh water every day, plus a brief 10-minute walk for the dog twice a day (morning and night). Cookie is really gentle, loving and quiet. Meanwhile, Kongi might be shy the first few days, but he will soon get over that and show his love. He's good at keeping himself busy -- he mostly spends his time lounging around the house.

Kongi gets really upset if his litter box is not clean and will sometimes urinate on the floor if the litter box is not scooped every single day.

There are no plants to water in the house. The pets do not need to receive any special medication, though it would be nice if you wipe the dog's face every few days (he gets tears of joy).

Hi -- my name is Kelly, and I am a Korean-American journalist who has been living in South Korea for about six years. Welcome to my spacious, 720-square-foot apartment in downtown Seoul. Just steps away from a main road of famous pubs, rooftop bars and restaurants, this apartment is the perfect location for anyone who wants a quiet sleep but also likes to be close to good dining and night life. The apartment is facing the old U.S. military base, which is now empty and a sanctuary of trees and birds. Once upon a time, my mother used to work there, so I feel like living here is a return to my roots, in some ways. For those that enjoy a hike, it is within walking distance of Namsan tower (Nam Mountain), the iconic landmark of Seoul where one can get views of the entire city. My home consists of a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, one bathroom (with a bath tub), an office and a bedroom. The bed you would be sleeping in is a traditional Korean floor bed, but with a modern, westernized thickness (so no hurting backs here!). I also have a balcony that overlooks the trees …

I also have a balcony that overlooks the trees of the military base with two chairs and a glass table for having breakfast or morning coffee with a view.

My apartment is located about 1 hour 10 minutes by public transport from Incheon International Airport (~40 minute taxi), 8 minutes from Namsan Tower, 25 minutes from Gangnam, 30 minutes from Hongdae and 10 minutes from Hannam-dong. These are popular neighborhoods with much to see; my neighborhood itself is one of the trendiest neighborhoods in South Korea, and it draws people from all over the country and the world.

*** There is no COVID PCR testing requirement to enter or exit South Korea as of October 2022.

We welcome you to our television, equipped with Netflix and PS4 games. We also have a speaker system that connects to bluetooth like Spotify — feel free to play music. I collect antique toys, the oldest being from year 1870, and like to think of my dining room as a little museum.

Toaster, stove (2 burners), kitchen sink, pourover and french press coffee.
Television with Netflix and video games — no cable. High-speed wifi.
Closet, full-size queen Korean floor bed. Sofa, coffee table, dining table. Bathroom with shower and bath tub. Balcony with table and chairs overlooking trees and mountains in the distance.

The subway station is an 8-min walk from my house. There are several bus stations that are within a 3-minute walk from my house.

My apartment is in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It is very central to all the tourist spots in the city, and has easy access (a 3-8 minute walk) to several bus stations and Noksapyeong Station (the subway). For those who appreciate nature, Namsan Park and Namsan mountain are a 10-minute walk away for hiking and city views. For those who want the city life, I live just a 3-minute walk from a main street famous for its bars and restaurants (Haebongchon), as well as Sinheung Market (famous for bars, shopping, food) and Itaewon (the international neighborhood of Seoul). I live next to a 90-year-old woman who sells traditional Korean pottery from the Yeoju region, so you can also support the arts and get amazing souvenirs while here. By public transportation, you can reach the following popular neighborhoods very quickly: ... Itaewon (10 minutes by foot) ... Hongdae (25-30 minutes by transit) ... Hannam-dong (20 minutes by foot, 8 minutes by transit) ... Hapjeong (18 minutes by transit) ... Gangnam (25 minutes by transit) ... Han River (40 minutes by walking, 15 minutes by transit) ... Euljiro (15 minutes by transit) ... Gwanghwamun (15 minutes by transit) ... Incheon International Airport (1 hr 10 minutes by transit, ~40 minutes by taxi) When I am …

It was a pleasure to take care of Cookie and Kongie and we had a wonderful stay in Kelly’s beautiful apartment! Cookie, the little bundle of energy and joy, is always ready for a nice walk and happy to stroll around in the neighborhood or nearby forests. Kongie, with his beautiful silky fur, is very independent, yet couldn't resist a good morning cuddle session on the coach. From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us into with open paws 🐾. We had a great time with these two and already miss their company! Kelly provided us with detailed, easy to follow instructions so that we can catch up with the pet’s specific needs. She also gave us so many great tips to make our stay enjoyable in Seoul!! Our heartfelt thanks go to Kelly for her warm hospitality and trust. We made life-time memories and would love to return to Seoul for another pet-sitting adventure! Recommended to anyone seeking a pet-loving home away from home.

Our stay at Kelly's place was fantastic. She is a great, warmhearted person and even when she was away, she was always making sure that our stay is pleasant. Her pets are also super friendly and they made our trip even better. This was a fantastic experience and I hope we'll meet again someday soon!

Kelly is a wonderful host who was always available to answer questions. She gave us great recommendations of what to do in the area and how to get around. We were able to meet her before she left which was so great. Kongi is a cute little guy. He's shy at first but he warms up in a few days. He's simple to take care of and fun to play with. This was a really great experience!
