I have a 2yo rescue cat, Pepper. She's shy, but once she knows you she will enjoy some play time and a lot of cuddles, especially in the evening. Pepper has an automated feeder and a water fountain, but her litterbox needs to be manually cleaned. I also have plants, that will require watering according to the season. It would be great if you could also check the mail box once per week.

Pepper is a shy cat, so she might need a couple of days to show up and interact with you.

Précisions sur les dates

The dates are negotiable, since I can have neighbours covering a few days at the beginning or at the end of the period. I'm flying on the 18th, so I'd like the sitters to come at least on the 17th to have a chance to meet!

Spacious apartment with one bedroom, one home office and a balcony. It's 20 minutes walking (or 6 minutes biking) from the Noorderpark metro station, just one stop of metro from Amsterdam Centraal. There is a bus stop right in front of the apartment that brings you to the metro. The neighbourhood has all the services, from supermarkets to bakeries and lovely cafès. When you are home, you can use boardgames, books, streaming services and severa CD/vinyls. The apartment is in a brand new building in the northern part of the city. Amsterdam Noord is (obviously) on the north side of the IJ. This means that you need to cross the water to visit the city center or to get to the train station! You can do this with the metro or a bus. If you prefer to bike or walk, you can use the ferry from Centraal Station (the ferry is free). The part of the city where my apartment is located is developing, but it already has all the needed services: you will find cafes, restaurants, museums, gyms, a cinema, a good variety of shops and a farmers' market! I would recommend using a bike (I can provide you with one) …

I would recommend using a bike (I can provide you with one) to move around in the neighborhood, as it is faster than walking and cheaper than public transport - just avoid rush hour if you are not used to it!

Amsterdam-Noord is a great neighborhood with lots of things to do! If you like street art, the NDSM area is surely worth a visit during the day! It also has the STRAAT museum, one of my personal favorites. Other museums in the area are the Eye Museum (film museum and cinema) and the NXT (new media art). The area is also full of great places to eat: cafè metro, cafè cress or poppies cafè are lovely spots for eating out that are within walking distance, but the area is packed with restaurants, just have a look on google maps and you will find something new to try every day. If you are just looking for a great coffee with a bite, check Gentle Place coffee. It's a two-minutes walk from home, and the coffee and pastries are delicious. If you like vintage shopping, visit Figo Vintage for some nice clothing, right in front of the building, or one of the many second-hand furniture shops in the area, such as de Locatie, Meijken Vintage, Strijk Design, de Snip or Van Dijke. Of course, you can also take the metro or the ferry to visit other parts of the city. The Noord-Zuid line connects you …

Of course, you can also take the metro or the ferry to visit other parts of the city. The Noord-Zuid line connects you directly with some of the most popular neighbourhoods in town, such as de Pijp or Rokin (be sure to check it out if you like bookshops!).

There are so many things to do in Amsterdam! If you like art, my favourite museums (so far) are the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh musuem, the Stedelijk (contemporary), the STRAAT (street art) and the FOAM (photography). If it's a cold and rainy day, you can spend a few hours in the OBA library next to central station, one of my favourite places in the city to relax. It also has a great view of the city from the last floor.
If you like history, for sure you will find the Anna Frank's house and the various museums on Dutch history interesting.

If you are into good food, Amsterdam will not disappoint: the city is full of great restaurants. Some of my personal favourite are OTEMBA (gyoza), Casa nostra (Italian), Gangam chicken (korean), Bhatti Pasal Klinkers (Nepalese) and Pho King (Vietnamese). If you want to try Dutch food, make a reservation at Moeders! And if you want to stay in Noord for dinner, Meet Noodles is amazing.
If you're into vintage clothing, then episode and kilo shop are two must-go spots, together with all the boutiques in Haarlemmerstraat (great street in any case). And lastly, if you like cinemas, The Movies (independent) and Pathé Tuschinski (big chain) have amazing interiors, that are worthy a visit!

I had a wonderful stay at Caterina’s apartment 💖 . Before she left, she gave me clear and detailed instructions on how to take care of Pepper and her home. She is easygoing, warm, and very trusting, even though we had just met, she made me feel completely comfortable. I’m truly grateful to have had a host like her 💝 . Pepper is an absolute angel 🪽 . We spent almost 2 weeks together, and I grew very attached to her. She can be a bit shy at first, but at the same time she loves company and would follow me around the house. I loved cuddling with her, and she seemed to enjoy it too 🥹 . It was really hard to say goodbye, and I hope I can see her again someday. The neighborhood is safe, peaceful, and very pleasant. I really appreciated the quiet atmosphere. It gave me space to relax and recharge, while still being close to the city center. The apartment has everything I needed and is very well equipped. It truly felt like home 🏡 . Caterina was also incredibly kind to lend me her e-bike 🚲 , which made getting around even easier. 💯 I highly recommend Caterina and Pepper to the community. Thank you again 💗 , Caterina !

Caterina has a wonderful small apartment in Amsterdam North, a mixture of old houses, industrial activities and many new apartment buildings. Caterina has a perfectly organized household and the communication with her went very smoothly. Her cat Pepper was quite shy, so I didn’t see her a lot. I would like to be invited again.

I had the chance to petsitting for Caterina as a first experience on Nomador, and I couldn't have had a better one ! Her apartment is comfortable, really clean, well located to discover Amsterdam, and very pleasant to live in. Caterina herself is very welcoming, has a lot of good recommendations about the city, and made my stay really easy and enjoyable. And of course, Pepper... After a few hours of "Who is this new human ?", she turned out to be the highlight of my holiday. Playful, funny, and so so cuddly, it was a joy to spend time with her after sightseeing. I would be delighted to come back and take care of her one day maybe. And thanks Caterina & Pepper for this incredible experience!
