Milka is an almost 12-year-old Labrador mix - smaller size than the average lab, only about 25 kg. She is very loving and kind, great with kids, though she can get territorial with other dogs if food is involved. She's getting older so she doesn't like very long walks any more, though she likes to go out a bit, and appreciates a good cuddle if you have any to spare :-). She doesn't have any special needs, but she can't be left alone the whole day or very late in the evening as she gets stressed and starts barking, and stresses the neighbours.

The flat has its own very big, fully fenced, private garden at the edge of a forest, backing down to a river and one of the nicest walking paths in the region. It's set in a very quiet cul de sac, and all you can hear is the river and the birds - but it's also two minutes' walk from the shops and the bus stop. There is underfloor heating, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with a bathtub and a shower, and a separate WC. The area is stunning! We are situated near Lake Geneva, half an hour from both Geneva and Lausanne, and close to countless charming lakeside towns such as Nyon, Rolle, and Coppet. We are less than an hour away from the closest ski slopes and the amazing cities of Vevey and Montreux, under two hours away from Annecy, Chamonix, Gruyères, and many other gorgeous destinations in Switzerland and France. There are great hikes all around, great beaches, and even a spectacular outdoor pool in Nyon. There are tons to see and explore.

J ai passé un excellent séjour chez Vicky et Chris. Ils m'ont très bien accueilli et sint très sympathiques. La maison est super agréable avec un grand terrain à côté d une rivière. On est en campagne au cœur de la ville. Milka est une chienne gentille et obéissante. J'ai pu la promener sur le chemin de randonnée situé entre la maison et la rivière. Je recommande vivement.

Vicky and Christ were wonderful hosts. I enjoyed their lovely apartment in a beautiful location. Their elderly dog, Milka, was a pleasure to care for, and we had no problems. They both were so helpful and Chris showed me around upon my arrival, letting me know where to walk, shop, places to visit, etc. There is plenty of public transit available within walking distance, and a beautiful Toblerone Trail to explore. The family is fluent in several languages, making communication easy, and their daughter, Olivia is a cutie. They were friendly and inspiring! I would highly recommend them as hosts and would welcome another visit some day!

Agréables courtes retrouvailles avec Vicky, Chris, Olivia et Milka. S'occuper d'elle, à son rythme et celui du village fut un plaisir simple et sain. La météo était très brumeuse mais l'appartement fonctionnel, le village tranquille et bien desservi facilitent les choses. whatsapp nous a été utile comme toujours, en cas de besoin afin de ménager la tranquillité des vacances tout en se rassurant sur le bon déroulement de la semaine pour tous.
