We have a lovely and fat 7 year old cat named Nico. She is a very social creature and doesn't do well on her own for very long. The sitter would just be expected to feed her daily and be sure to spend some time with her from time to time. We would also be very happy if the sitter could water our plants and pick up our mail.

Our son was born at the end of May and we hope to travel to the US to introduce him to his American family members. We have not yet purchased tickets until we can confirm a housesitter. We would also like to meet the housesitter and provide additional information before we leave.

Our house is a recently renovated duplex apartment with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (both with bathtub and shower), kitchen and washer/dryer room. It is on the second floor.

We have a turntable and a great collection of vinyl records. We also have a projector for watching movies through your computer.

Just steps from the metro and a short walk to the Marais and Père Lachaise. The large living/dining room features a balcony with a great view of the tree-lined boulevard, perfect for evening drinks in the sun. The living area faces south-west for optimal afternoon light, while the bedroom and kitchen overlook a quiet courtyard that receives morning sun. Newly renovated in 2015 and tastefully decorated with mid-century modern furniture, the apartment is airy and spacious. We love living here and we're sure you will too.

Ménilmontant is a vibrant and ethically diverse neighborhood with lots of great restaurants, bars, and businesses in the vicinity. Fantastic local restaurants include: Les Quilles, Roseval, Chatomat, Chez Justine and Le Baratin. Awesome bars nearby include: Le Perchoir (rooftop bar with panoramic city views), La Buvette (natural wines and delicious nibbles), Chez Joséphine (cocktails), La Fine Mousse (artisanal beers). Music venues and dancing spots within short walking distance include: L'Intérnationale, La Bellevilleoise, L'Alimentation Générale, La Maroquinerie. Père Lachaise cemetery, the famous final resting place of Oscar Wilde, Chopin, Edith Piaf and many other notables is about a five minute walk away. The Belleville Park, with its panoramic views of Paris, is also only five minutes away, and the bigger Buttes Chaumont Park is also walking distance from the apartment.
