The property should be kept clean. Garden maintenance is varied depending on the season; there are areas with grass, fruit trees, roses, and hedges which need upkeep. In summer an automatic watering system is in place but needs to be checked daily to make sure it is functioning properly, given that the water pressure changes constantly pipes tend to burst. In summer additional watering on a daily basis is required. Some plants outside the watering system should be watered every day too even when it rains as they are in covered areas. Weeding and mowing grass and general garden maintenance, including brushing leaves from pathways are expected as well as hedge trimming although aided by gardener. You need to be willing to dedicate a few hours a day of your time to the garden; you also need to be creative and take initiative to sort issues that may arise.

I am looking for someone who will treat my home, garden and 2 small dogs (beagle and maltese poodle) as if they were their own. Given the present rise in cost of services I would appreciate a person used to not wasting water nor electricity.

The nearest beach is half an hour away. There is a lively cultural offer often free or at low prices featuring flamenco, theatre, cultural visits, etc. The lodging made available for home sitters is distinct from the main house which allows for overlapping or extended stay until my next departure against some help in the renovations and/or gardening ( to be agreed beforehand). The lodging for house sitters has two rooms and includes a basic kitchen, shower room, bedroom and garden, TV and internet as hotspot. For long stays, access will be given to the rest of the house. Relaxing countryside location, ideal for horse and nature lovers with horse riding facilities at walking distance and many trails for walking, biking and horse back riding. Two villages 5 minutes away by car offer all facilities and Sevilla is 15 minutes away by car/public transport. There is no central heating in the house, only a chimney and portable gas stove. Please note that some nights in winter can be quite cold.The plot is 2500 m2.

Tourisme et loisirs

Access to Sevilla via public bus (5-6 kms away). From there many buses to visit the region. Beach (Matalascanas) half an hour away. Extensive use of BlaBlaCar in the area. However you need to have a car/motorbike/bike to stay here at least to get to the bus stop.
Portugal, Faro, is an hour away so not only having access to Andalucia you will be able to visit in the day parts of the Algarve.

Très bonne communication avec Maria, elle s'est toujours souciée de notre bien-être. L'endroit est bien pour visiter un bout de l'Andalousie, Séville une belle ville. Les chiens sont adorables, avec chacun leur caractère, mais très faciles à vivre. Bola toujours intéressé par des caresses et Indie par de la nourriture ! Ils sont très attachants. La maison n'est pas trop faite pour l'hiver (oui il peut faire froid en hiver !), mais avec un chauffage d'appoint comme la cheminée ça va. La maison est dans un quartier isolé, il faut un moyen de locomotion. Mais c'est agréable de pouvoir sortir du jardin et promener les chiens sans avoir à prendre la voiture. Et il y a une excellente huile d'olive à moins d'un km de la maison ! Et on a fait une cure de jus de citron et d'orange du jardin !

Maria est une femme très courageuse, elle a à cœur que son jardin soit bien entretenu et que l'on puisse elle prendre soin,il faut savoir jongler avec la sécheresse afin de trouver les meilleures astuces pour économiser l'eau,elle est très accueillante et arrangeant et je la remercie beaucoup de nous avoir fait confiance. Ses chiens sont 2 petits amours que nous avons emmenés avec nous en excursions,ils se sont très bien comportés et vite attachés à nous,ils n'aiment pas trop rester seuls alors il faut éviter de s'absenter une journée entière. La maison, le jardin et le cadre sont magnifiques, magnifique région!

This was a beautiful housesit. The owner is a nice, caring lady s and the sunrises in the morning are stunning, every day. And the dogs Indie and Bola! They are the cutest dogs I have met in a long time! House snd garden are big so you have plenty of room to relax. The towns Bollullos and Bormujos have a very nice vibe. And Sevilla of course!
