Lisbon

Our cat Sylvie is 7 years old and is relatively self-sufficient - she spends most of the day asleep! We are just looking for someone to be able to feed her in the morning and at night, and in the evenings she often enjoys a cuddle before bed so just want her not to be lonely whilst we are away. We have a large litter tray that only needs cleaning once a week, so it is pretty easy to actually look after her, we would just prefer to have someone stay with her instead of someone coming in for 10 minutes a day as she does like company.

We also have some plants throughout the house that we would like watering - only once though.

We are flying back to UK on 18 December for Christmas, so am looking for someone who is happy to spend the Christmas period in a new place (or on holiday!) until we return on 28 December.

We live in a beautiful basement apartment in Lisbon, with fantastic transport links (we are a 10 minute walk from both red and green lines).

Although our street is very quiet, we live nearby lots of parks, shops and restaurants, with the centre of the city just a 30 minute walk.

Our home is a spacious 2 bedroom, one bathroom apartment with open plan kitchen and diner, with a lounge area that fully opens into our large, private terrace. This is a really great space and we have lots of new, comfortable furniture - as well as a grill and stone oven pizza built in!

Regarding ammenities we have a large standig desk and monitor in our spare room in case you wanted to work, we have Sonos speakers throughout the house for those who ejoy music, we have gas stove, oven, dishwasher and washing machine as well as good wifi and a robot hoover which makes housework very easy!

For any single people or couples it is the perfect size and location to comfortable explore Lisbon city as well as some of the more local neighbourhoods (Anjos and Graca are just a few minutes walk and have excellent restaurants, bars and wine bars to try!).

For anyone wanting to explore Lisbon either for the first time, or try some new interesting places to go there, this is a great place to stay!

As mentioned, we have Sonos speakers throughout the house, lots of board games, a monitor in the spare room to watch TV, pizza oven and grill, furniture in the terrace to have relaxing dinner or breakfasts - there is plenty to do in the house to relax if you need a rest day.

Also, we have yoga mats, kettlebell and resistance bands for anyone wanting to burn off some pasteis de natas!

There are many supermarkets and grocery stores within a couple of minutes walk, as well as some excellent local restaurants, cool wine bars and parks - the location of our place is why we love it so much! Just a 30 minute walk into the centre and into the old town (Alfama) it is very easy to explore, as well as great transport links in case you wanted! The terrace is another great space, feel free to use the grill or pizza oven, we have plenty of furniture and lighting that makes the space really nice.

There are so many excellent places to eat and drink - for a foodie Lisbon is one of the best cities we have ever been too! For those looking for a bit more culture, the centre is a 30 minute walk and there are several free walking tours we have been on that explain the history and culture of Lisbon and Portugal. Alfama (the old town) is also a 30 minute walk. You can get a bus directly from our house to Marvilla which is an art district with very cool boutique shops, bars and galleries. We know some ballet dancers in the city and there are always theatre productions, ballet shows and musicians performing across the city - with ubers being incredibly cheap (anywhere across the city will be less than 6 euro) it is very easy to explore culture, food, shopping and scenery.
