Our little dog is a 5,5 kg Bichon Maltais.
Lillie (or Lillou) is soon 5 years old. She is very sweet, social and playful.
She doesn't lose hear but still need to be brushed 2/3 times per week.
Her fur doesn't create allergy.
She eats small meals 4 times/day and should always have fresh water at her disposal. She needs to go out 4 times/day: morning, lunch, end of the afternoon and evening before everybody goes to bed.

She knows most of the commands (sits, lay...) but doesn't obey so well to "stop or come back". So, she should never go outside our house/garden without a leash.

As she is a white dog, we need to clean around her eyes every morning with a special product. She doesn't like it but she is OK with that.
She takes a bath every 10 days-2 weeks and the same, she is no so keen of water but will let you do it anyway.

We expect you to be kind and patient because she will probably follow you everywhere. She is very loving.

For the garden, we don't expect you to do anything (and it will be winter).

We can invite you in a newly renovated house of 120 m2 at 10 minutes walk from a beautiful, long sandy beach.
We have a nice garden in a quiet area, close to a golf course.
15 minutes by car from the center of Helsingborg where you can take a 20 minutes ferry to Helsingor (Denmark) to see the castle of Hamlet.
15 min walk to train station.
Ideal for relaxing and enjoying the Swedish coast.
Helpful neighbours if needed.

We have 2 bikes that you can borrow and eventually a car.

We live in a nice quiet area, close to the beach and a golf club. You are welcome to use all the appliances e. The community we live in has 2 pizzerias and 2 nicer restaurants near by. In the town of Helsingborg, there are a lot of good restaurants for all tastes (shellfishes, meat, veg...).
Rydebäck is located just outside of Helsingborg, 40 kilometers north of Malmö and about 1 hour by train from Copenhagen airport Kastrup.
About 10 min walk from the house, you have a little supermarket, a pharmacy, a post office and a pizzeria.

Tourisme et loisirs

Helsingborgs center is very cute walking area with an old city hall and other interesting buildings.
There are bath houses if you want to try a sauna and jump into the sea.
The region of Skåne has plenty of old castles that you might want to visit.

Christine et Johan sont très accueillants et chaleureux. Leur maison est cosy et confortable dans un environnement calmem. Lilou est une petite boule de poils affectueuse et facile à vivre. Nous remercions Christine et Yohan pour les attentions ramenées de leur voyage et sommes bien sûr prêts à revenir s'ils le souhaitent.

For this pet sit we were extremely fortunate to be chosen to look after darling Mitsi the cat. She was a real sweetheart and such an independent old lady. After getting use to us the first week, she seemed relaxed and happy to keep us company on the couch at night. Hosts Christine and Johan are the kindest couple and even prior to arrival, were extremely generous with their time, providing help and lots of information with a number of our questions. They had even gone to the trouble of printing us a list of recommended attractions, along with all the house and pet care information. Plenty of space was made for our belongings, enabling us to settle in and really feel at home. On arrival Johan met us at the train station and in the evening, showed us his wonderful cooking skills with a delicious bbq. Having the use of Christine’s car was very appreciated. We mainly used it for grocery shopping as the nearby buses and trains were an efficient and relaxing way for us to explore stunning Sweden and Denmark. As we had been on the go quite a bit prior to starting this assignment, relaxing in the beautifully renovated home, with all modern conveniences, was just perfect. On a daily basis, we thoroughly enjoyed the heavily laden apple tree. What a treat! More helpful and kind neighbours could not be found. They were also most welcoming. House and pet sitters should not hesitate to apply for any future assignment with Christine and Johan. We were sad to leave this beautiful location but very happy to have made new friends.
