Our 2 lovely cats are Ms. Fletcher (Fletchie), around 8 yo., and Micio, 3 yo., mother and son. They both are loving and playful cats. She is very independent and goes for strolls at her own wish, spending most of the day out. He has altered mobility, a consequence of an infection that affected him as a kitty, but he walks, jumps, goes down and up the stairs and is healthy. He also goes for strolls outside, while we're at home, although he tends to spend most of the time indoors.
The sitter will feed them, as per instructions and keep fresh water available. We wish for someone who can combine enjoying the area with keeping them company a bit everyday. While people are away, Micio stays indoors, and at night they both sleep in. There's no cat door, so it's important to pay attention to when they ask to come in, which they make very obvious, by scratching the door.

Old farm house in the process of restoration, in the country. Olive grove and fruit orchard. Fresh water from underground. Friendly neighbours on the same road, so it's not isolated, there's people nearby, but keeping the privacy and quietness of the country. 1,5km from the village. Ideal to enjoy slow life and Nature.

Santo António das Areias is located in São Mamede Natural Park, and is visited by those who come for holidays in the area, with beautiful countryside sites and many beautiful nature trails to walk and cycle. It has a grocery store, a few coffee-shops and restaurants and other services. 15 minutes away there's a supermarket and many services, in Castelo de Vide. Nearby, teachable by car, there's a wonderful spot by the river, under big trees, where it's possible to refresh yourself or listen to the soothing sound of water. There's also a river beach in Portagem, 15 minutes by car. 10 minutes by car there's Beirã, a picturesque village where you can find a special experience, the Rail Bike, a tour that uses the old railroad tracks to cycle in specially designed bikes, with a guide. In the area there are other beautiful villages to visit, such as Marvão and Castelo de Vide, both 15 minutes away by car from Santo António das Areias. Marvão is a mediaval village within the walls of the castle, on top of the hill, with stuning views. Ana Teresa and Alessandro are really amazing, good-hearted people that made us feel very welcome and tried to help us with everything. Micio and Fletchie are the cutest 🐈‍⬛🐈. Micio is adorable, always open to cuddles and being close to us. Fletchie is a wild lady in the best possible way, she spends a lot of time outside but when she comes back she’s really affectionate as well. We enjoyed having fresh veggies and fruits from the garden and our nervous system really appreciated the calm environment of the countryside. Thanks Ana and Ale for trusting us with your beautiful pets and home, hopefully our paths will cross again! 😊

One of the most enjoyable pet sits I've ever had. Anna Teresa & Alessandro gave me a warm welcome and were very friendly, easy-going, and understanding during the duration of my stay in their place. Their kitties: Micio and Fletchie are both a joy to be around and very easy to take care of. Fletchie is more on the independent side, while her son, Micio, is a super social and curious boy. Both are cuddly, peaceful and make great (even if often sleepy) company. The flat is comfortable and safe, with everything one may need for a few weeks stay. I have utterly loved the zone of Meco/Sesimbra, which I find extremely beautiful and could not stop exploring. Very grateful for that assignment. Thanks for having me, Ana & Alessandro!

Coming to Ana and Alessandro's place was a real pleasure and such a nice opportunity to come to Portugal ! I felt so warmly welcomed. A couple of days shared together to get to know the place, the cats and each other. Fletchie and Micio are adorable cats, so affectionate, soft and heart-driven creatures, such as their owners. I also loved the location 10 minutes away from the Ocean, a huge beach and the pine forest just next to the house. Thanks again for this warm and caring experience Ana and Alessandro :)
