We are looking for someone who loves cats. Gingersnap is just over a year old. He adopted us last winter and has really taken to life afloat. He is amazingly affectionate and thrives on human contact. He loves being stroked and once he knows you will happily sit on your lap for hours.

The other essential thing to point out is that we live on a boat, generally it rocks very gently as fishing boats come and go from this tiny port. However if the wind blows then it will of course move a little more from side to side. Nothing dramatic but if you get seasick this might not be for you.

We live on board a 54ft luxury motor yacht. Each summer we cruise the Med and in the winter we moor up somewhere different. This year we are lucky enough to be on the quay at the historic and beautiful village of Galaxidi in Greece. Our floating home has a snug lounge with settee, a master bedroom with ensuite plus 3 other bedrooms, a well equipped galley (oven, hob, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher) and 2 outside terraces (one fully enclosed with an L shaped settee and dining table). The boat is heated in the winter and stays very warm. We have power and water laid on to the boat. Most people who visit the harbour walk along the quay side wishing they were on one of the boats. We enjoy peace and quiet, unrestricted water and mountain views, and the sense of being just a little bit different. The historic village of Galaxidi is simply beautiful (google it and see for yourself). It has all the things you might need day to day and plenty of excellent tavernas to choose from. The historic village of Galaxidi is simply beautiful (google it and see for yourself). It has all the things you might need day to day and plenty of excellent tavernas to choose from. It attracts visitors throughout the year in its own right. The small water side town of Itea is about 8 kilometres away (bus link). The village is surrounded by mountains on 3 sides and the ski resort of Mount Parnos is about 30 minutes away. The ancient site of Delphi is about 20 minutes away. Further afield Athens is about 2.5 hours by car (hire cars easily available here), Patras about 1.5 hours the other way.

Tourisme et loisirs

Galaxidi is located in central Greece (on the Gulf of Corinth). This means that you are relatively close to everything. A winter tourist to this area can enjoy hiking, biking, and skiing but also simply sit in the winter sun and enjoy an ouzo or a greek coffee at one of the cafes. Delphi is world famous and needs no further introduction, Arachova is a winter ski resort which will maybe remind you of Switzerland. The medieval mini city of Navpaktos with ancient harbour and stunning castle is also close to hand.
