My cat Miró is sometimes shy but very friendly and affectionate, very talkative. He does not like to be left alone for too many hours but he stays outside a lot, even at night. He has is own small door to easily get in and out. Needs to be fed 3/4 times a day, change water every day and sometimes brushed. He really likes cuddles and caresses.
There are some plants in the courtyard to be watered regularly.

I'd like house sitters to arrive at least 2 or 3 days before I leave so we can go through instructions, get to know my cat, explore the neighborhood... and spend some time together!

Small two floors villa 10 minutes drive from the city of Ispica and Pozzallo in Ragusa province, 400 meters from a long sandy beach. A car is needed to get to supermarkets and places to visit. The house furniture is very basic, simple but cozy. In Sicily winters are usually mild but leaving next to the seaside heating is needed, that is provided by a pellet stove in the sitting room and a hot/cold air conditioner in the bedrooms. To get to the hosts bedroom upstairs there is a somewhat narrow spiral staircase, for this reason, I suggest bringing small suitcases like trolleys. There is no Wifi connection ( you would need your own hotspot) and no TV.
A car is a must to get around visiting the many interesting places this area offers and go for groceries. There is no easy bus service.

Tourisme et loisirs

Ispica area sits on the south east part of Sicily, many famous and ancient places, baroccan style, could be visited from here. Catania airport is 1:30 minutes drive.
Noto and Siracusa are only 45 minutes drive from here and Agrigento with his grecian temples is a couple of hours driving. Caltagirone is a must for artistic ceramic lovers and more to discover.

I had a wonderful time cat sitting with Francesca and Miro. Her home is just 5 minutes from the beach, everything is cozy and comfortable. Mirò a furry ball, is very responsive and is lovely to be around. He loves to curl up and cuddle. Francesca is a very warm host, she was thoughtful and we had so much fun together in the few days that overlapped. I would recommend the experience definitely.
