Hello and thank you for looking at our profile!
We are a French/American early retired married couple. We are professionals in our fields of work. We have a house near Strasbourg, France. We are pretty international having lived and worked in several countries and we speak French and English. I'm Meilee and my French husband is Roland. We
like to explore and experience different homes and regions while our house is for sale. In fact we are looking at different areas around France.
Let me start by saying we love all animals and are very attentive to their needs. We will cherish your home and animals like our own. We are excellent house/pet sitters with years of experience, (Non smokers) and we love doing this so much!
We are world travelers and have lived and worked in several countries. We are currently primarily interested in Europe for a sit of several weeks/months. We have done sits on other sites too in both the USA and Europe with Trusted House Sitters, Mind my House and Nomador with 5 star reviews. We recently completed a two month sit in Florida with excellent reviews taking the dog to the pet parlor and vet visits for cancer treatment. I was also a member on Rover so we are very used to all types of dogs. I have taken care of many of my own pets from fish, hamsters, dogs, cats, horses, rabbits and birds... All of our own pets have been rescues. We know how to grow things and garden... We have had our own swimming pool so we know how to take care of pools. Our house in Strasbourg is a Manor house and we have done extensive work on it so we know all about house repairs and yard work!! We have lived in Florida through several hurricanes so we are weatherproof as well lol. We are active and fit. We have a little dog that comes on our sits and she is well behaved. We hope our little dog isn't a problem, Lonnie is a female Dashund mix (very small) and is great with other animals and cats too. We really have a good routine because we have always had the responsibility of caring for pets and homes. We don't leave for hours or overnight etc. Lonnie is fully vaccinated and does not bite, she is submissive and a little shy. We got her in the US so she is well travelled lol. We like to take walks with dogs in the country or city. We like both city and rural sits and love to explore. We don't mind farm animals. We are big readers and gardner's... Not afraid of spiders or snakes lol... We don't cook a whole lot but we like to eat good food!
We are not fussy and very easy going and love meeting people. We don't freak out over minor issues and are very responsible.
We have a hybrid SUV and are are environmentally conscious.
We have taken care of older animals that were deaf and blind and missing limbs.
We never leave dogs for more than three hours or we take them a long for rides if permitted. We make sure the animals come first! We follow your rules for your pets and your home!
We don't smoke and are clean and tidy. We are home bodies and like being with animals,
preferring to hang out around the home and take long walks.
We are great communicators and will keep you updated whilst you are gone.
We can cook for your pets if needed and also can take care of sick or older animals. We love attending to plants and enjoy walking and reading and listening to music.
We have our own car in the US and France. We will drive to said location if in Europe.
We have one grown son in Paris and an 12 year old grandson.
