Ciao! I’m Anja, a 37-year-old Italian expat who has been living in Belgium for many years. When I’m not working on making cities greener and more sustainable, I’m happiest surrounded by animals, especially my adorable rescue cats who fill my home with love and mischief.
About me
I’ve loved animals all my life, growing up with cats, dogs, horses and small pets. Today, I volunteer at a local cat shelter, caring for senior cats and giving them comfort, medication and cuddles in their golden days. While my apartment means I can’t adopt every animal I meet (tempting as it is!), I put my heart into caring for those I can, whether they’re mine or yours.
I also love to travel and have done so extensively. This has taught me how to stay calm and resourceful in unfamiliar places and how to quickly find solutions if unexpected situations arise.
What I offer
🐾 pet sitting: whether it’s a snuggly cat, an energetic dog or a small furry friend, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy and loved while you’re away
🌱 plant care: I’m also a plant lover, so your green friends will stay healthy and thriving too
I often work remotely, so I can spend plenty of time with your pets and keep their routines consistent. Occasionally, I might travel with my partner if that’s okay with you. We are both calm, caring and love animals.

Anja a été incroyable lors de mon arrivée. Elle m’a aidée avec mes valises, nous avons partagé un bon repas ensemble et elle m’a clairement expliqué la routine pour prendre soin de ses cinq chats. Les cinq chats ont tous leur petite personnalité, toutes très attachantes. J’ai un petit faible pour Grisou, Amandine et Tatiana. La semaine a été formidable. Son appartement était très bien situé à Bruxelles et près de l’aéroport. Merci encore pour cette semaine !🥰✨🇧🇪

We had the great pleasure of entrusting our home, cats, and plants to Anja and Markus during our winter vacation, and we had a great experience. While preparing for the trip, they were transparent and easy to communicate with, and it was clear that Anja already had extensive experience with cat care and Nomador. Our cats bonded with them almost instantly, which speaks volumes about the attention they gave. Throughout our time away, they sent us reassuring updates with texts and photos. Even when we had some unexpected travel change (flight back cancelled due to snow), they kindly helped us ensure that our cats would be taken care of till our arrival and handled check-out by themselves. When we finally returned, we found our cats happy, our plants healthy, and our apartment in perfect order. In short, we wholeheartedly recommend Anja and Markus to anyone looking for reliable, caring, and thoughtful house- and pet-sitters.
