En couple/duo
We are an active retired couple in our 60s. I spent most of my career working in the Civil Service and Local Government in Scotland. My husband is a retired Police Officer.
We enjoy the freedom that retirement gives us and we spend most of our time gardening & walking. We also do yoga and pilates a couple of times a week.
Although we don't have any pets now, we both have lots of experience of caring for our own dogs over the years. My step-daughter often entrusts her dogs to our care when work takes her away from home.
After retiring in 2013, we moved to live in France and spent six years there. It was during that time, that we discovered that we could combine our love of travelling with looking after other peoples' pets and homes We even welcomed pets into our own home when their owners were on holiday.

Stephen and Jean were good house sitters. The two of them arrived a few days before our departure so we could get better acquainted. They were independent travellers and more than capable of getting around on their own. We returned to a clean home with cold beers in the fridge and some food to hold us over for the night.
