My working life has been spent in the travel industry and I have loved exploring new places, environments and cultures all over the world. I recently retired from this and now have a casual job working at our local library where I am researching books instead of flights!

I am an empty nester with two children - my daughter, 21yrs, and son, 19 yrs, are both away studying now so have more time to start travelling again.

For many years, when I was single, I became a house sitter for my travel clients and I would look after their pets as well. I am enjoying this again in New Zealand and also doing this in France during summer 2026.

I have many pot plants which give me a lot of joy, propagating them and watching them grow so I can look after yours too.

I am a non-smoker and will take great care of your home and fur babies with delight :) I love walking a lot with my own dog, a labradoodle named Willow, and would treat your pets as my own. I'm an explorer at heart so new surroundings, meeting new people (and animals), discovering hidden cafe's are all in my wheel-house. I plan on continuing to study so the peace and quiet is very conducive to this with house-sitting giving me all these opportunities.

My first house/pet sit in France with THS is for three weeks where I am now in Chalon-sur-Saone, with one Border Collie and one cat. I recently went to a language school in Paris on my arrival in France earlier in May, as I want to start having conversations in French as soon as I can.
